I was gonna with the rest of the decade actually. Might wanna just add in 2010-2019 too... hey so are we going to start reusing the decade number's naming thing.. like the 1920's are just called the 20's...etc? just curious...this question keeps me awake at night, sometimes. I've been wondering that as well. "The 2020's" just doesn't sound right does it. twenties squared? Since I will be of advanced age when 2020 gets here, I will refer to the 1920's as the "roaring 20's" and the 2020's as the "snoring 20's".
In a sport where even the best teams lose over 35% of their games, it's not difficult to believe that there is a degree of randomness associated with the outcome of a game (or several games).
So luck and managing have no impact on how many runs you score? less impact than the players holding the bats No argument with that, but in a 1 or 2 run game the impact of luck and managing might make enough difference to change the outcome. Judging the shape and location of a distribution from a relatively small sample is likely to be imprecise.
Josh Hamilton. David Arquette. Kermit the Fog. I'll say Devin Hester is back for round 2. Matthew McCaunghey? (or however the heck you spell it) Me [you]
Musical chairs in the Smokies' defense? Chattanooga Bottom 8th Defensive switch from second base to shortstop for Gary Cates. Defensive switch from first base to left field for Jake Fox. Defensive switch from third base to first base for Matt Craig. Defensive switch from left field to second base for Jemel Spearman. Defensive switch from shortstop to third base for Joseph Simokaitis.
Starting lineup for the Smokies: Walker, C CF Cates 2B Fox 1B Kroeger RF Craig 3B Spearman, J LF Simokaitis SS Richie C Gallagher, S P No Dopirak after he left yesterday's game in the 4th - doesn't sound good.
I must admit I'd be more prone to signing up this way as well. I'm pretty much a paperless type as well so I set NSBB up as a vendor on my checking account and the bank sends the check. It's easy. Used my Username as account number and Tim figured it out. :)
Watching the post-game show - Sammy giving credit to his teammates, hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo, saying he's settling into alternating between DH and RF. The fans booed him on introduction, cheered when he struck out, and quiet after HR #591.
I guess we know what motivates Santana. I just lost a lot of respect for him. That quote there represents alot of things that are wrong with professional sports today. I guess we know that what motivates Santana is the same thing that motivates about 95% of people. Fixed. Why would you lose respect for Santana over this? He's not running a charity. I always thought that was why they called it professional sports. If I want to see amateurs I'll go check out the local rugby league.
I was listening, but not that closely. The only comments I heard about Fox were comments about his outstanding offense yesterday. Also, today was the first day I've been able to listen at all. Things were pretty exciting until the 6th. :(
