  1. I have heard the same thing. From what I hear, Calvin and Russel both wanted 15% more than Williams got last year, and Quinn would take a lot less, close to what was paid last year for Williams. From what I've been hearing, the Raiders gave Quinn an offer that would be considered a low-ball offer for a 1st overall pick but would be better than what he'd get in the 7-9 range. If true, it is a smart move on the Raiders part. except for the part about DRAFTING BRADY QUINN =D> Post of the freakin' day. Quinn is a late first rounder. Way to screw the pooch AGAIN, Oakland.
  2. i hope you're not older than 14. grow up.

  4. MODS please fix the title of the thread. Thanks.
  5. The Pittsburgh Steelers select... Manuel Ramirez, OG, Texas Tech Very satisfied with day one. The Steelers main three needs were LB, OL, and CB. We got solid players at all three positions.
  6. He had the best arm I've ever seen on a college CF.
  7. Former Carolina CF Jon Coutlangus in to pitch. Sorry, Cout. I hope you get racked.
  8. This needs a bump so that the mods will see it and edit the title.
  9. I am in for whatever. Another round works for me.
  10. welcome friend i agree completely, however, theriot came in as a part of a double switch when wuertz came into the game.
  11. I considered him as well. Should definitely help the 'hawks.
  12. Someone always has to be the turd in everyone else's punch bowl I was here first, thank you very much.
  13. Did he Hit it high, know it was Gone, and then Hop?
  14. DAMN YOU!! Ok, I'll need another few minutes. ' Figured you would be upset. C could be the Steelers biggest need. Don't really have a starter there right now. Yeah that one hurt. I think you can get good inside guys later in the draft, though. With that said, the Steelers are up in the air about how long they will play the 3-4, so I a hybrid DE/OLB is a good place and I saw this guy terrorize the SEC. Thus, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Charles Johnson, DE, University of Georgia I PM'd Flames, but a mod needs to update the thread title since a few pics have gone by.

  16. His route running could use a little fine tuning, but he played for a very good receivers coach in Bubba Spurrier. Its tough to do a lot after the catch when you make all of your catches on double and triple teams.
  17. They could use a #3 WR, though Dallas Clark basically played that role this year and did it well. Steve Smith (USC) would be a reach at 32, but would be a near perfect fit. Sidney Rice is a better pick, but its obviously a homer one, coming from me. Rice is more talented, without a question. But Smith is the perfect fit for the Colts O. He's a smart WR, great route runner, sure hands, and can run after the catch. He's Marvin Harrison without the speed. Sid is all those things and he's 6'4 and can catch the ball in traffic. I understand what you are saying, but I think Rice fits with Indy just as much as Smith.

  19. Sorry fellas for the late response. I was out watching my Carolina Gamecocks get destroyed by Vandy. This resulted in me drowning my sorrows at a local watering hole. Now that I am home, I will make the following selection on behalf of my beloved Super Bowl XL champions. With the Fifteenth selection in the 2007 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select... Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh The Steelers have bona fide starters at every position, they just need to address depth. The need help at LB and in the secondary. I loved Patrick Willis, but he's already off the board. I also love Justin Blalock, but I think this is a little high for him, so I am sticking with a Pittsburgh boy. I don't know who is on the clock now, I'll trust Vance or the Mods to that. Thanks all.
  20. The Gamecocks took the series and are the new number 1 in College Baseball per Baseball America. Go [expletive]!
  21. Many UK fans hated Tubby and wanted him gone. It was an opportune time to pick up a fat paycheck and go somewhere with less stress. It was a lot easier than getting fired, which would have happened either this year or next. This will work out well for all parties. I am already hearing Gillespie, Crean, Calipari and, yes, Billy Donovan.
  22. Hey Slugger, how bout that whippin today? I'd say 12-0 and only giving up 2 hits serves as demoralization. Go [expletive]!
  23. I'll be honest, I don't follow BA or the high school rankings. I just follow South Carolina and then get to know the other players around the SEC as I follow my boys. That being said, I was really impressed with Chisenhall. I am so pumped about our season. This really could be the year.
  24. I saw South Carolina play at the UNC-W tourney this weekend. I was left with one impression: this team can mash. Even with Justin Smoak off to a slow start, we still scored 30+ runs. Here's a name to look out for in '09: Lonnie Chisenhall. The kid is huge, can play a couple positions, and, oh by the way, tears the cover off of the ball. I really think my boys can win it all this year.
