  7. Slainte, I will pick up your 2009 league fees this year. It is the least I can do for helping defend our freedoms... Eric, I will send the pay pal payment today.

  9. Here are my suggestions: 1) ok with reseting draft picks...how do you determine draft order? 2) 5 keepers (exempt and non-exempt)...and 5 minor leaguers...any player with less than 130 AB and 50 IP is considered minor leaguers 3) i actually like 3 divisions with each division winners plus a wild card going to the playoffs...if there is a tie, best record, then best record against each other, then division record, etc. 4) i will pay by paypal 5) i can draft anytime as long as i know the schedule ahead of time

  11. Count me in...
  12. I am also interested; however we need to find a way to keep owners interested and participating. One thing that would keep owners interested in probably money. We can pitch in a bit more than the league costs and offer the winner free next year. Just a thought to get people interested...other thoughts?
  13. Roady, has a trade not been processed through the league site? I thought I eliminated them before copying and pasting. I edited the post above - also had to take out Masterson.
  14. You're not keeping any exempt players or minor leaguers? #-o Sorry, thought you only wanted my keepers from the non-exempt list. 16. Go all the way to the bottom where a reader responded to the Blog...it's HOOPS.... Where's he been lately? Hoops left the board after a member questioned his integrity or something like that.

  18. http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/1073 Bruce is probably busy trying to run down a rumor between the Cubs and Rockies: Marquis for Taveras.
  19. I traded Andrew Miller to Dawg Pound for 122.7 points.
  20. This is encouraging: RHP Angel Guzman reportedly is hitting upward of 97 mph on his fastball during winter ball in Venezuela. Guzman, who has been hampered by injuries for several years, will be out of options next spring. If he's healthy, he could land a bullpen spot. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/nl/cubs/notes.htm?csp=34
  21. Great job, Hosak. I got the same non-exempt points. Now, I will wait for the final confirmation from the commish.
  22. It seems like a lot more but according to the box scores = 5
  23. IIRC, coming up through the minors and early in his career with the Pirates, they considered Aram to be suspect at defense. Look where he is at now - some are already talking about a possible Gold Glove. Hopefully, Vitters will turn around his defense like he has his offense this year.
  24. The Cubs sound like a logical candidate. Hendry was looking for a bat off the bench at the deadline. The Mets make the most sense however, as hed likely get the starting job in left. Cardinals and D-Backs are other likelies. According to Cbssportsline.com, it was the Red Sox the put the claim: Brian Giles, RF SD News: The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the Boston Red Sox have claimed Padres OF Brian Giles off waivers. Boston now has 48 hours in which to try to work out a trade with San Diego. If no trade develops, the Padres can retain Giles, whose contract includes Boston among the 10 teams with with he has veto power for a trade.
