  1. You can't argue with top 5 numbers. I would be surprised if you're offered better. Actually, I have not gotten any sniffs, so I guess I am overvaluing Wright but by year's end he will be a top position player so I will not give him away and still stand by my request for a top player or players. The pitcher you offered has only done it recently so I don't consider it top 5 performance. So you think Wright is worth more than the 6th top pitcher- Lee (and you'd be right) but turned down a top 8 RF PLUS an exempt pitcher and a Top 100 minor leaguer for the 29th top pitcher to this point? Sounds pretty inconsistent to me. You may have to remind me about that particular trade because it does not right a bell...if your numbers are correct then it would be a bad rejection. If you are talking about your last offer for Haren, then I would disagree because Haren is better than a 29th top pitcher...Hawpe is a nice player but not a top 8 RF (I should know, I had Hawpe last year and traded him because of his inconsistencies) and the exempt pitcher you offered was not any better than what I had (exempt or non exempt) and there was no Top 100 minor leaguer in the offer Hawpe WAS the 8th best RF last year. Look it up. (And you say "I should know, I traded him because he was inconsistent. Dude, you traded him to me on April 9th.) Litsch is nothing special, you're right, but Lowrie is a BA Top 100 prospect, and played 3 positions while up earlier this year. You can check for yourself, but everything I've posted is accurate. I traded Hawpe last year, not this year. He was on my roster for 2006 so I know how he performed that's why I traded him. I don't think Lowrie was included in the trade. If I recall the offer was Hawpe and Litsch. If Lowrie was included, he is ok but I have enough minor leaguers that are ok so another one would not matter. If accurate you mean the numbers, those don't matter to me. I make my own judgement on who is top players at their position so Hawpe to me is not a top player in his position.

  4. Having Wright is more valuable to my team than the offer you made... But it's what you were asking for. I don't consider the pitcher you offered a top 5 pitcher....

  6. Really???? I bet if I offer you Wright for McLouth straight up you would take it in a heartbeat...McLouth has only been doing what he has done only two months and Wright has been doing it for the last two years. I guess Wright is worth more to me on my roster at this point...
  7. With Peavy injured, I am seriously contemplating trading David Wright but please only serious offers... I am looking for a top 5 pitcher; otherwise, a top 10 pitcher and a top 20 OF
  8. I finally straightened out the PayPal issues. What is the entrance fee, again? $10?
  9. I thought that we had in the past as long as they were on an actual MLB minor league roster. No college prospects or players from the current years draft. I have been waiting for CBS to add him so I can try to pick him up. I did not realize that we can request for players to be added because it so I have a couple in mind.
  10. Scoreboard shows him with 18 points. Uggh...nobody told me... Did you get my offer? Upgrade at C and CF that you wanted... Yes...but they were not much of an upgrade to trade Harden...if I wanted them, I could have just drafted them.

  12. I could have sworn that Peavy pitched last night and did well (18 plus points). But as of this morning, he has zero points... Any suggestions as to what happened?
  13. David Wright Dan Haren Jake Peavy Rich Harden
  14. Below is my roster but I have one question regarding Dan Haren: he has five years of experience; however, his first two years did not total 90 innings. Is he still considered exempt? When do we have to start dumping non-exempt we can't keep? I am seeing trade offers...when can trading start? 15. I plan to comeback...
  16. I wouldn't be upset with 4/60, if it's backloaded and the 4th year is either a player option or it includes a player opt out. If the first three years pay something like $39-42m, it may not be awful. Odds are he'll wind up opting out after 3 years and look for one last big major league contract, at the age of 32/33. At that point, hopefully the Cubs will be able to replace him with some more reasonably priced internal option, or maybe even another import. I do recall someone saying (not sure if it was his agent) that he will only sign a 3 year contract.
  17. Did the Cubs go up from yesterday to 5 years a $10 million or is it a 4 year $12.5 offer? I really hope this isn't Furcal all over again. http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10522930/2 Not sure if posted or not (don't want to go through pages upon pages) but Steve Stone was quoted on the radio saying that the Cubs' offer would be for 4 years/52 to 60MM - yikes...
  18. It reminds me of a trade many years ago between the Blue Jays and Indians (maybe the Padres) where the principals were Roberto Alomar, Fred McGriff, and Joe Carter. Wow.
  19. That's not so secret...250 members is too much...
  20. I will be back even though I will be quick busy with probably a new job...
  21. You won by 0.08...I want a recount...LOL I will probably not make the playoffs with this loss.
  22. My injuries are mounting and I am in a very competitive division where the top four is separated by 2 games. Tejada, Young, Harden, Wolf, Lowe, Street....
  23. You lost over half the league right there. LOL
  24. I am in a tight division with four players via for two playoff spots. I am looking for improvements at one of the following positions: catcher, SS, and CF. I have David Price, Evan Longoria, and a couple of other minor league pitchers and of course, draft picks. In addition, I am willing to trade either of Dan Haren, Rich Harden (although injured), and Chris Young for an except catcher, SS, or CF that can help this year. Please make reasonable offers. Thanks.
