  1. ...tied with Roady.
  2. The Sox has been knocked off its perch...
  3. Thanks for responding BBB. I was thinking of trying to find a #1 SP (since I clearly do not have one) for the prospects. I just have to find the trading partner.
  4. I guess that is why this is called fantasy baseball.
  5. Who would you want for Granderson? He went to my alma mater - University of Illinois at Chicago.
  6. I am tired..I guess I deserved this since I did not attend the live on-line draft and I did not like the make-up of my team. Anyone want to trade? ':P'
  7. I did not participate on the live draft so I had work to do to make my team better. This is a keeper league where you can keep active players to a max of 1800 points and minor leaguers have to be minor leaguers (less than 90 I pitched and 130 ABs). Active players with 3 years or less after qualifying are except from the 1800 points max. There are 14 teams. I am currently tied for first but I have made soooo many trades and used the free agent market excessively that my team does not resemble the team from week#1. I need some evaluation help for this year and the future - need more trades to shore up areas or made too much trade that weakened the present and/or the future. I like the team make-up but need some outside opinions. Gary Sheffield for Magglio Ordonez and Scot Shields 2. Bob Wickman for Khalil Greene (Greene waived) 3. Brian Giles for Jeremy Hermida and Brandon Wood 4. Jim Thome for Delmon Young, Gio Gonzalez, and Chris Young 5. Jon Garland, Magglio Ordonez, and Kevin Youkilis for Kelly Shoppach, CC Sabathia, Yusmeiro Petit, and Melvin Mora (Shoppach waived; this is the one I regretted the most) 6. Manny Ramirez and Jose Velarde for Huston Street, BJ Upton, and Rich Harden (hopefully Harden comes back strong because this would be lopsided if he doesn't) 7. John Lackey, Russell Martin, and Alex Rios for John Patterson, Garrett Atkins, and Justin Morneau (this might be tough to swallow because Rios and Martin will be good) 8. Livian Hernandez and Akinori Otsuka for Brad Hawpe (hopefully Hawpe does not flame out next year) 9. Chien-Ming Wang for Rocco Baldelli (this one could be regretted because Wang will be good for awhile and Baldelli is injury prone) 10. Ken Griffey and Gio Gonzalez for Lastings Millege and Joel Guzman Fire away!!!!
  8. Some great ideas from a writer not named Bruce Miles...
  9. Your win against the Sox help me tie him for first place with SoCal Cubs. I'm about to make my playoff run... Hey, the Marlins and Astros have done it!! Go go Banedon. If you need minor leaguers, I have some to trade if you are interested.

Tim: On the total points, do we count points earned from another team if I traded for that player or do I just count points earned as a member of my team. Thanks. It's total points for that player (select MLB instead of Fantasy on the drop down on the stats page). Otherwise people could just trade a bunch of players at the end of the year and keep everyone. Thank you - that clarifies it. What happens to players that do not get kept - the league does a re-draft for those players?

  15. I have been lucky that I have not suffered many significant injuries...
  16. Final score: Banedon 263.2450 at The Attacking Aardsma's 264.4950 diff 1.25 ...but WhiteSox beat me with a much smaller margin week 7 White Soxoholics 283.4400 at Roady 282.7700 diff 0.67
  17. Good thing a vetoed the trade with Carbera and replaced him with Garland..javascript:emoticon(':wall:') wall
  18. After a 4-player trade with Tim and a 7-player trade with Matt, I think I am done with trading for awhile. I weakened my hitting but improved my pitching and the farm system (hopefully Delmon doesn't get suspended again) and I think I still have a chance this year.
  19. Mel Hall was not great but he contributed.
  20. First Dempster, then Williamson. I hope Hedry can make it 3 for 3 on reclamation projects with Miller.
  21. Holy Guacamole, Batman. CLSHS can't be more than 3 miles from my house. We definitely gotta beat this boy like a rented mule. !! Fred, we're neighbors...I work in Elgin (passes through Algonquin everyday to work) and live in Crystal Lake.
  22. Do you want Garland? You should have taken Nick Johnson when you had the chance. Make me an offer.[/quote You had to remind me. javascript:emoticon(':wall:') wall I looked over your roster there are a few I may need but I am not sure which you are willing to give up. I will leave it up to you to make an offer and I will see if the offer fits my needs. Thanks.
  23. Do you want Garland?
  24. Also, what's surprising with Harvey is that he has 2 triples on a bum knee so it has not affected his running too much...if only he can start recognizing pitches he truly would be a 5 tool player.
  25. At least I am not only one monitoring the "on the block" updates...
