  1. I agree...any players drafted in the ML draft should be part of the team's ML roster at the start of the year. I think this is the reason why we have the prospects draft.
  2. ok... is there any record of that? it's not in the 2012 draft pick thread and i feel like i'd probably need karen to confirm this since i can't find anything about it on this board. also (for all), if all we have to sort out is this 8th round pick - having already set the draft order and agreed who is major league draft eligible and who isn't - when do we start? probably will need to confirm with Karen because I did not see it on the board either..
  3. An 8th round pick to Kid Rodelo from Sock It Thome is missing from a trade Karen and I did at last year's draft involving Ian Kinsler.
  4. Clarification from anyone who knows: Once the draft starts, players can be traded without regards to points and/or number of keepers, right?
  5. 1B Teixeira 647 2B Ackley exempt OF Rasmus exempt OF Stubbs exempt SP Fister exempt SP Minor exempt SP Cain 641 SP Hamels 655.5 RP Kimbrel exempt RP Bailey exempt 1943.5

  8. I am almost done with my offseason...just need to see if there are takers for Liriano and Hunter - mid round picks or prospects
  9. Made you an offer
  10. My understanding is that if you are not in the playoffs, then your roster is frozen until the end of the season. After the season is over you can only drop players to make your 2000 pt limit and/or make trades. Those involved in the play-offs will add/drop players until they have the exact roster they had at the start of the play-offs and then they are subject to the same rules as the rest of us fantasy baseball league mortals. yep Thanks
  11. Are waivers off limits during the finals except for the participants? Meaning, since I am out of the playoffs, can I still add/drop players as long as I am legal?
  12. Yep...good luck everyone
  13. Whoa...says who that my team is not actively managed...I think I WILL beat RWD this week :)
  14. picked up Iannetta and put McCann on DL.
  15. I am open to trades...no one is untouchable and I am looking for 2012 draft pick(s).
  16. Wrong league. #-o LOL...not wrong league, maybe did not explain it well. IIRC, we get 2000 points - most of my non exempt player I want to keep do not have much points plus I will not be keeping many of them since I have exempt players; meaning, if a manager has a player with 800 points and can't and will not keep the player, I can offer a draft pick and/or non-exempt player. For example, I traded Halladay last year because I could not afford to keep him and got Travis Snider - lopsided trade against me but it allowed me to keep more players (quantity over quality strategy which did not help me this year). Lets make sure we talk towards the end of the season ;-). You can pretty much have your pick from my team. Definitely...you have lots of high points players so you will not be able to keep most of them.

  18. DeLaRosa, Duffy, Niese, Romero, Nicasio, Chapman, Hudson all have one, or more, years of exemption. While my exemption list is not that impressive (Stanton, Lyles, Venters, Thames, J.Zimmerman) off years by Pujols and a long stint on the DL by R.Zimmerman should allow me to keep a decent amount of talent (Pujols, R.Zimmerman, G.Gonzalez, F.Hernandez). Depending on how things play out the remainder of this year, I'm pretty close to being on pace to being able to keep: Hosmer Longoria Hanley Upton Greinke Latos Pineda Morneau Not a bad core. :) I don't have a bad core either; however, most of my 10 keepers will be exempt so I will have some points available to trade for an unwanted high points non exempt player
