I like how IU played last night but yeah, I'm not going to get too excited until we beat some tougher teams. Last year we started 6-0 and 9-2 and well, that got us a whole lot of nothing. But having said all of that, I am definitely optimistic these guys can hit the 18 win mark.

At some point, it really must be questioned. Cheap shots are endemic among his players. I can see him wanting to change the mentality there but the Lions take it too far. Acting like you are the king [expletive] over regular season wins, that isn't being tough it is just acting tough for the sake of doing so. So who is Stafford going to assault over that interception? What a loon.

Well according to Paul Posluszny (2003-2006) this morning he said Sandusky was still routinely on campus during his career. And of course those were the 4 years following the 2002 allegations. Could have sworn I had read that Sandusky was still using PSU's facilities up until about 2 weeks ago.

He has IU picked to finish 18-13 overall, 8-10 in conference. I'd certainly take that record!

That's not fair enough. His stance on football players is absurd. You don't know how to react to a play? Oh shut up. You react to the play and call that you see. Who the hell just sits there and ponders whether he should cheer because of the possibility that the review guy will summon the ref to take a look and overturn it? That's moronic. His stance on football is not absurd. As it is, a TD isn't a TD until the replay official confirms it. It doesn't bother me personally, but it's easy to see how it bothers some folks. It isn't like every scoring play is literally being reviewed though. Only the close calls get reviewed. If a guy runs into the end zone untouched you aren't holding your breath about a replay, you are just hoping there isn't a penalty.

Using a Hester return as an example isn't all that great of an example anyways because honestly every time he returns a kick to the house my first though is "is there a flag?". I mean yes I get excited during the return but there is still always that couple seconds at the end of the return that I am listening to the announcers intently about a flag being thrown or not. In fact overall I'd say the fear of a penalty flag being thrown trumps my fear of a replay overturn in most cases. Special teams or otherwise.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the trolls. I for one assume the night my team wins a championship, I'd be trolling rival message boards. Absolutely if the Cubs won the World Series then the first thing I'd do is register for a bunch of Cardinals message boards to troll them. Oh wait, no I wouldn't. I'm thinking that would rank about dead last on my list of things I would want to do at that point. I would be far, far to drunk to use a computer at that point. Not only that but if the Cubs were in a Game 7 of the World Series I wouldn't be anywhere near a computer. I'd want to stay focused on the game itself.

Well Allen Craig and David Freese just lead you toma World Series, it's gonna be tough for us to be luckier than you. Thanks though. It was also pretty lucky that they got that 0.08 inches of rain that "forced" the rain out and allowed Carpenter to pitch the clincher. It also helped the Rangers as well where they could pitch Holland on regular rest in game 7. It's not the Cardinals fault that Ron Washington decided to throw Harrison out there a guy, who got rocked in game 3 vs. a guy who gave up 2 hits through 8 innings in game 4. Yeah I really don't understand starting Harrison over Holland either.

Just wait for the Penn State game to start. The field looks fairly clean at least to start the game.
