    Brandon McGee has been dismissed from the IU team for "academic and other reasons". So now we have 2 returning scholarship players instead of 3. Plus 6 incoming players so far and perhaps a walk on or two. \:D/

    That's right. Keep joking about it. When the Cards & Stros pass us up and we're dipping closer to .500 we'll revisit and see how you feel then. Sometimes you lose a series on the road. It's going to happen, and it's not a harbinger of doom like you're making out to be. True. But losing to Houston makes my skin crawl. I've hated them ever since they traded for Randy Johnson in 1998.

    I just looked it up and as of May 8th, Soriano was batting .188. 9 days later and he has raised his average almost 100 points along with hitting 6 home runs in that time period. Wow. :shock:

    Friday: Cubs win with Lilly struggling prior to game Saturday: Cubs come from behind to win, bring Marmol in to shut the door. Cubs up 2-0. Sunday: Ace (big Z) on the mound against a 41 yr old pitcher. Good odds there. Cant say I blame Lou. He is rolling the dice abit, but its a good gamble. Amen.

    I'm asking for clarification of one point here regarding Soriano and the batting order. I've read on more than one occasion here at NSBB that batting order means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Yet at the same time, I read just as many posts ripping on Soriano as leadoff hitter. So does batting order matter or not? That is my question. And it's not a question being posed in a sarcastic manner at all, I really do appreciate any and all input here.

    Lord some of you people will rip on anyone. Cubs.com seems like it'd be a better place for you. Overreact much? It was a halfway tongue in cheek comment, besides the fact that well over half the game thread postings here would qualify as Cubs.com material. :thumbsup:
