It is so awesome seeing a .213 hitter in either the 1 or 2 slot in the lineup almost every night.

Shawn Estes carried a no-hitter into the 5th inning tonight before Hairston Jr finally singled.

Brandon McGee has been dismissed from the IU team for "academic and other reasons". So now we have 2 returning scholarship players instead of 3. Plus 6 incoming players so far and perhaps a walk on or two. \:D/

    That would be a record.

That's right. Keep joking about it. When the Cards & Stros pass us up and we're dipping closer to .500 we'll revisit and see how you feel then. Sometimes you lose a series on the road. It's going to happen, and it's not a harbinger of doom like you're making out to be. True. But losing to Houston makes my skin crawl. I've hated them ever since they traded for Randy Johnson in 1998.

    Worst Cubs team ever. :stickman:

Indiana just offered a scholarship to one of Negedu's buddies...some 7 footer who was playing at a C.C. Hmmm. I'll provide more details when I get home. Update:
  9. Sosa21MVP
    Soriano is now hitting .301

    Game over

I typically believe a manager doesn't really make much difference at all either way but Lou has made some bizarre moves this season. I just hope his hunches are correct in October.
  12. Sosa21MVP
I saw that Patterson batted leadoff and Hairston Jr batted second today. Made me feel all nostalgic and stuff.
  13. Sosa21MVP
Can you imagine if it was A-Rod instead of Giambi wearing the "lucky thong". lolz
  14. Sosa21MVP
I just looked it up and as of May 8th, Soriano was batting .188. 9 days later and he has raised his average almost 100 points along with hitting 6 home runs in that time period. Wow.

Jim Edmonds in a Cubs uniform? Just shoot me now.
  16. Sosa21MVP
You silly people who said this would be an easy win, what say you now? Eh? lol

    How about a Fukuslam?
  19. Sosa21MVP
huh? They are horrible at scoring runs and this should be an easy win...what in the world is your point? That because we're losing right now that everyone who said this should be an easy win doesn't know what they're talking about? Very easy win. edit - sacrifices chicken to prevent jinx
  20. Sosa21MVP
I can't believe Soriano is warming up. I thought for sure he would hit .190 all season.

Friday: Cubs win with Lilly struggling prior to game Saturday: Cubs come from behind to win, bring Marmol in to shut the door. Cubs up 2-0. Sunday: Ace (big Z) on the mound against a 41 yr old pitcher. Good odds there. Cant say I blame Lou. He is rolling the dice abit, but its a good gamble. Amen.
  22. Sosa21MVP
It's just a ritual here. Every time Marmol pitches, everybody screams ZOMG HE IS BEING OVERUSED HIS ARM WILL FALL OFF ZOMG ZOMG. It's pretty amusing.
  23. Sosa21MVP
    Corey Patterson batting 3rd. :stickman:
  24. Sosa21MVP
Hey they walked in a run...oh wait we had a twit running the bases.
  25. Sosa21MVP
Fontenot.....ah nevermind I won't say it. It would be rated R anyways.
