  1. They actually did a pretty damn good job
  2. Why would an athlete with a guaranteed longterm contract half ass it? Seriously? That's a question? Yes its ignorant. Im sure he loves going out there sucking it and being boo'd every day and embarrassing himself. Makes for a wonderful way to spend 6 months Im sure. That doesn't make the accusation ignorant. Your comment makes you sound naive though. Being good at baseball is hard. Especially as you age and break down physically. It's got to be very easy to take shortcuts along the way when you have a huge guaranteed contract. My comment doenst make me sound naive at all. Of course there are ways to take shortcuts, but Sorianos awful hitting and awful fielding have little to nothing to do with that. You said it in your post baseball is hard especially as you age and break down physically, that seems alot more likely to why Soriano has sucked for the last year, than him sucking because hes not trying.

  4. 93 pitches for Demp, and hes thrown more balls than strikes. Bullpen going to be coming in very soon, and Im not feeling comfortable at all with the 4 run lead.
  5. Seriously. 7 run [expletive] lead and Dempster is walking the 40 yr old Edmonds. UGH
  6. Hopefully just precautionary since we are up by 7. With the day off tomorrow, gives him some extra time to rest it. With that said, Nady can hold 1st base down for a few days if needed, as it didnt look like anything serious.
  7. Thats 2 balls hes hit very hard today. Lets hope he keeps it up
  8. Yup, at least I feel better about our backup this year than in years past. Nady can hold that spot down if needed for a few days.
  9. That was in no mans land, nothing the Cubs could have done about it Have better range? Nobody in baseball has the range to get to where that was That's pretty crazy when you consider Baker actually got to it and he's hardly known for having great range. Whatever, but it wasn't an easy play, and really was no reason for the "cue the benny hill music" comment. It wasnt like they looked like a circus out there, it was hit in a good spot.
  10. Starting pitcher gone in the 4th very nice. Get into that bullpen

  13. Yea I'll live with his gimp arm as long as he hits like he has in the past.
  14. PBR my man? All the rednecks drink that here in KY Yeah, PBR. Not much of a beer person, but I prefer Miller or Bud. Yea me either, I like Coors in the offseason, but when baseball gets here im all about the Bud Light. If im gonna drink its usually Whiskey or Cinnamon 'shine What does the offseason have to do with what kind of beer you drink?
  15. which again raises the question; Why do we have Koyie hill? And howabout the anti-bradley with two hits? Because all teams have 2 catchers? Anti Bradley give me a break i realize every team has two catchers, but there has to be better hitting catchers in the minor leagues somewhere. Seriously when he is in the lineup its like having two pitchers in the lineup. Most teams have trouble finding a starting catcher who can hit, let alone a backup catcher who can hit. Basically all backup catchers are defensive catchers plain and simple.
  16. I don't really blame Soriano if he's just to the point where his skills have naturally started to decline. However, if he's just half-assing it, then I hope the media crucifies him. I don't blame him for taking that ridiculous contract. Anybody in baseball would have signed for those kind of years and money. Why in Gods name would he be, or would you think he is, half-assing it? The idea of him half assing it is beyond ignorant

  18. We better not have to hear that damn song all year
