You actually think our manager would play lefties vs a lefty? Im shocked Colvin is in there actually, because its usually right handed hitters 1-8 vs Leftys, but Im guessing Lou is rewarding Colvin for his good day yesterday.

Let's hope he's the real deal. Get him some playing time as the 4th OF and if he's for real trade Fukudome next offseason. Slow down. If his OF defense and his walks doesn't improve over the long run then he's going to have to keep hitting out of his mind to justify making him a starting RF. our current starting RF would have a hard time justifying himself as a starting RF :-k Yea because Fukudome's 988 OPS sucks for a starting RF....

Better question is why the [expletive] do you take our hottest hitter out of the lineup? 4 straight multi hit games, and 6 out of the last 7 multi hit games, and Lou benches Byrd for Tyler [expletive] Colvin. The guy is an absolute moron. Has Byrd only had one day off so far this season? If so, I can kinda understand the decision to sit him when you've just clinched a series. Personally Id wait till he has an 0fer before giving him a day off, especially with how this offense has been. I understand him needing a day off as hes played 11 straight games, but Id rather not give it to him while hes hotter than hell.
