  1. Hahahahahaaah! Once that batting average returns to normal he will be the same piece of garbage he's always been. Yeah, more 2 for 3 days like this will really hobble him. I know what you are saying, but like I said our 2nd base platoon has an OPS around 680, thats terrible. Fontenot has shown zero power this year, and almost zero patience. We really need to upgrade that position.
  2. Im thinking the time has come to call up Castro and move Theriot to 2nd. Our 2nd basemen have an OPS around 680
  3. Heaven forbid you actually take the damn walk Fontenot. Quit swinging at ball 4
  4. Byrd has had 3 terrible at bats today my God
  5. Even if he did try to bunt, teams aren't going to immediately go back to playing normal, and the trade off of Dunn trying to make an attempt at a bunt(which Im sure he hasnt done much of) and him hitting the ball 400 feet, Id take every day. It would take him going up there pretty much every at bat for multiple games before teams would consider changing their defense, and if he wants to do it 3 or 4 times a game, well Ill gladly take it opposed to the alternative.
  6. Id rather Adam Dunn be playing for the Cubs
  7. Yea Im sure thats his 1st opposite field home run ever. So glad I got to witness it.... ONLY THE CUBS, AMIRITE? ONLY US!
  8. Yea Im sure thats his 1st opposite field home run ever. So glad I got to witness it....
  9. Yea Bob thats why he doesnt square around to bunt dumb ass
  10. he walked in his first at bat. agreed, nice patience fukudome So he never has to take a pitch again. Got it. LOL yea thats exactly what he said.
  11. Umm you realize 2 runs in 2 innings is a pretty damn good pace right?
  12. Seconded I don't know. Tracy needs at bats too. Plus Nady hasn't hit a ball solid in two weeks is seems like. That means hes still had more solid hits than Tracy all year.
  13. This is a load of BS. Piniella has gotten worse every year hes been here plain and simple. His use of the bullpen, and his doghouse for bullpen members are 2 of his biggest faults. However this year its evolved into more than just that like his defensive replacements for Soto who is head and shoulders better than Hill with the bat, and not that far behind him defensively if any, that its asinine to remove him from close games. Pinch hitting for Soto last night was 1 of the most ignorant things Ive seen him do. Its completely mind baffling that anybody in their right mind would think to pinch hit for Soto there last night.
  14. okay, now it won't be good to have him back. jamar williams is a star waiting to happen. LB is deep and the safeties are bad. Harris/Wright should be a huge upgrade over the MASH unit that was back there last year. true, i just hate giving up a good young player while the others at the position are aging. They are aging, but if there has been one position that Angelo/Lovie have been able to draft really well, its the linebacker position. Im glad to have Harris back, he will definitely help the D more than Jamar. Love the 12 forced fumbles in the last 3 years Harris brings
  15. Wow really like the Chris Harris trade. Now sign Faneca, and this offseason will be about as big as success as could be expected without a 1st round draft pick.
  16. Yea and now the "Great Steve Stone" is picking up on the whole "Z isn't happy about the bullpen switch, and very shortly he will be making noise about wanting a new team" crap etc.... Seriously between Stone and Kaplan I don't know which one is the more arrogant, obnoxious, blow hard in the Chicago media.
