  1. Haha glad to see Im not the only one who found humor in the Ted Lilly fan Club. Should have saved that one for tomorrow though
  2. I like winning. I hate Dempster. I hate the contract he signed after 08. He’s really nothing more than a slightly above average pitcher whose career year in 08 outwitted Lou the Great (not a hard thing to do) into not using his best pitcher over the course of September AT ALL during the playoffs. To a left-handed batter, Dempster is nothing but a drum. His five year numbers going from 09 back thru 05: BAA- .281/.243/.259/.310/.278 WHIP – 1.55/1.29/1.53/1.97/1.97 For his career (over 1600 IP, not a small sample size) his BAA/WHIP against lefties is .281/1.73. I’m sure Dempster apologists will say he was just coming back from the injury in 05 and 06, but he’s not nor ever will be an elite pitcher. When he struggles with his command against lefties, he’s no more than mediocre. Given his track record, his career year in 08 is understandable since it’s about the only time he’s ever been half competent against them. From the 4-12 post game thread
  3. its been like a year since anyone complained about his contract Try again.
  4. Agreed. We would have nothing to lose by signing him. Sure we would. It may mean that Hendrys boy toy Shark would be sent to AAA where he belongs(well he belongs out of baseball but whatever).
  5. Dempsters numbers so far this year 2-0 2.60Era 1.08 Whip Yea thats not worth the money hes being paid....
  6. Demp and his supposedly terrible contract continued domination, and the dumbass lineup our terrible manager used actually worked. Sun shines on a dogs ass every once in awhile right? Go back to using your good players tomorrow please senile Lou.
  7. tha's a pretty amusing read http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Bmaq23Hpe8/S9GwNQHMuoI/AAAAAAAABnA/Fg8hWA-Be4I/s1600/Threat+Level+Ted+2.jpg Seriously, I dont know how this is the 1st time Ive heard of the "Ted Lilly Fan Club".
  8. Why? He hasn't worked a whole ton recently and we're in the middle of a 19-game stretch w/out an off day. Plus Lilly is coming back w/ a pitch count tomorrow. Marmol looks to be on tonight, I have no doubt he can mow through the bottom of this order fairly quickly. No reason to waste another pitcher that we may need tomorrow. I still don't understand the talk of Lilly being on a strict pitch count. He threw 88 pitches in his rehab start, there is no reason he cant go 95-100 with relative ease, but Im done trying to figure out wtf Lou is doing
  9. Hahaha if you have never googled Ted Lilly before, I suggest you do, and then go to "the ted lilly fan club" . Wow
  10. Yeah, Im not sure about his use here either. But, whatever. When's the last time he pitched? Wednesday when he pitched in a blowout It kinda makes sense to use him right now with Lilly going tomorrow. His use has been relatively spaced out with all the losing, and the bullpen is likely to be called on early tomorrow unless Lilly is his usual self already and very efficient. He's going to be on a pretty tight pitch count. Yea its not that big of deal because of Marmols use so far being limited. I wouldnt think Lilly would be on that tight of a pitch count really. Im pretty sure he threw 85 for Peoria, Id think he should be able to go 100 if hes throwing well. Like you said Lilly is usually pretty efficient, if he goes 6 tomorrow and we have the lead Id bet you money its Marshall in the 7th, Z in the 8th, then Marmol.

  12. So whats everybodys thoughts on Major Wright?
  13. A smart team would pick him up. The Cubs aren't a smart team, so I fully expect to see the Cardinals sign him in the coming days. Oh and if the Cubs signed him they'd probably move him to the rotation
  14. LMAO the [expletive] comedy continues. Somebody, anybody, defend the [expletive] idiocy of our manager. The guy is a nutjob.
  15. Haha, thats awesome. Oh and 42 minutes of play, playing the point guard position, and guess how many turnovers D Rose had? ZERO, that is [expletive] impressive Rose pissed me off hardcore tonight, haha. I've seen the Cavs in countless close games where the other team was finally scoring on a consistent basis in the 4th and LeBron would come down and score on nearly every possession. That's what Rose did tonight. I was obviously annoyed, but it was still impressive. He took some of, if not all of the momentum out of countless Cavs' spurts. Yea the more I watch him the more he amazes me. He has the mid range jumper locked in, and if you try coming out on him, hes at the rim before you know it. During those last 3 mins of the game I told my roommate that this was going to be a Lebron vs Rose end of the game and it was going to be fun. The youth in the league right now is so damn talented its ridiculous. People need to watch matchups like that if they think the NBA is boring. Yup agreed. The youth in the league is definitely bringing back the excitement in the NBA.

  18. I think Minny is taking Clausen if hes there.
  19. Oh and for the people(Bum) who was saying Rose isn't one of the top PG's in the league. I will give you this. Yea, definitely not a top 5 PG. Nope................
  20. Except for where he should be. On trial for his gun charges that just happened to get postponed till the playoffs are over.
  21. My God Castro, you are getting me wayyyyyyyyyyy to excited about you.
  22. Yep. Starts at 6 p.m. CST. Thanks
