    LOL he has how many at bats outside of the leadoff spot this year?20-30 maybe? That has to be the most irrelevant argument Ive seen in awile. He has 29 AB's outside of the leadoff spot. If you take anything from those stats, then that says it all right there. Yeah it's a small sample size, but it's better than looking at his numbers from five years ago. Let me ask you this... how many at bats out of the lead off slot would you like to see this year before you make a decision? I dont have an exact number, but I know its a lot more than 29 AB's. I mean if we take anything from 29 AB's then Chris Shelton was the best hitter in baseball last year. Let me ask you this...With the way Soriano is hitting right now, do you honestly think if we put him down at 3-5 hes going to stop hitting?

    I think a split is a pretty big letdown actually. They score 4 on Hudson in the first inning, and get out of facing Smoltz. There is/was no reason they couldnt take 3 of 4 and if they win tonight they really should of swept, if not for Marquis craptacular start.

    Not only ignorant, but also stupid. We dont face the Braves again, while they do play our competition. Yea I really dont care. He threw at Soriano on purpose, I hope hes hurt, I guess Im not only ignorant, but stupid.

    Yeah, Lou pretty much tries to put the wrong relievers in, it's the only logical explanation. I was just going to post something about Gallagher not pitching. He's been up a couple days now, and hasn't pitched in quite some time since his last start. Why not let him get his feet wet in a blowout? Don't understand it at all. The only thing that makes sense is with Marquis and Lilly going the next 2 days, Lou wanted a long man just in case. Both of them last time out struggled so I think hes just covering his ass. Marquis didn't. You must not have watched him pitch. Marquis was in big trouble in the first and 2nd, and was saved by great defensive plays. He only lasted 5 innings I believe also, because of high pitch total. If thats not called struggleing then I dont know what is.

    I anticipate Pagan being sent down when Floyd returns from the bereavement list. I believe you anticipate wrong. As good as Pie has been, he is overmatched against LHP, Cubs will need to platoon him for now, and Pagan is the only guy that can be that platoon partner. No, the move needs to be a trade of either Murton or Jones, there is no room for three RFs on this ballclub. One of them has to go, and because of his pop, Floyd won't be that guy. Pie held his own pretty good against the lefty starter the other day. He definatly wasnt as lost as Jones looks against lefties, and Izturis vs any pitcher.

    Really???? I don't see why. He should be ready for Boise this season and peoria next. We'll see. He'll be ready for Peoria even if he spends all of this summer at Mesa. I bet if he signs quickly, and Lansford gets a July promotion that Vitters finishs the 2007 season in Peoria....just a thought... If he's hitting well enough to justify that move, it would be great. But I'm just hoping he hits well enough to justify a spot in Peoria all next year. I don't want to see any Ryan Harvey type, low average, 4:1 K:BB ratio with OPS being propped up by some power, and doing it in short season ball a year after being drafted. I dont think his hitting will be a problem, if you should be worried about anything it should be his defense. I am also anxious to see what Tony Thomas will do in Boise! Are you talking about Lansford? He's been awful with the bat and he's supposed to be an excellent defender. Think hes talking about Vitters, TT.
