  1. You're kidding with that today, right? Meh, can't be much worse than Theriot at this point. Theriot is posting a whopping 595 OPS vs leftys this year. Pick your poison, basically. I don't mind Theriot still starting against LH if they're really going to shop him or listen to trade offers since that way he has at least a chance of looking better. Yea it is a pick your poison thing which is why I said it cant be much worse than Theriot.
  2. Better him than Theriot. The way Soriano is playing I almost wish we'd just put him back at the top. If you are going to put Colvin leading off, you may as well put Soto leading off, and his 417 OBP. Or Baker, Soriano, Byrd. Colvin would be about the last guy Id put leading off and especially vs a lefty.

  4. Tyler Colvin really isn't leading off right? I mean seriously, hes not, that HAS to be a typo.
  5. ARam is going on a rehab assignment to Peoria Saturday and Sunday.
  6. Byrd, Silva, Marmol, Soriano. Thats 4 what do I win? Nothing. Failure to follow simple instructions... Name one. Of your list, Soriano is overpaid and struggled so much last year, I don't think he could step up and lead.... Silva and Byrd aren't real veterans of this club. I also dunno if they are leaders.... Marmol is in the pen and not likely in much of a position to lead. Exactly, you dont know who is or isn't a "leader" in the clubhouse, thats my point.
  7. UK, have you seen Kyle Hunter? Pitched at Galesburg High School, and now is pitching for K-State.
  8. Lous postgame comments said they are going to get Fontenot in the lineup for Theriot for a bit. Yea that will last long if it even happens.
  9. Cubs win! 6 games behind the Cardinals unreal
  10. Hahaha intentionally walking Hill. Id rather take my chances vs Hill and Theriot, than Theriot and Baker.
  11. Yea I really don't understand why Theriot has such a long leash with Lou. I mean Theriot can't even dream of having a year like Soto has had at ML level yet Theriot is penciled in daily. Itd be different if the guy was capable of putting up numbers like Lee and ARam who you basically have to leave in the lineup, but it shouldn't be hard to replace Theriots numbers or D.
  12. Production from our 3rd baseman? Does not compute
  13. Was that catch as good as Pat and Ron made it sound?
  14. Plenty. Ive read about Fortes "speed" being back, and the depth at linebackers in the last 2 days.
  15. At this point I dont see how anyone could have Vitters at #1 ahead of Brett Jackson.
  16. Over/Under on 1st inning runs allowed by Wells tomorrow?
  17. Are you talking about Fukudome? A typically productive player? Are you watching the same games I am? 715 OPS in May and dipping to an abomination like 552 OPS this month. This happens EVERY YEAR. He starts off hot (fukudome), and everyones like oh hey he gets on base he's a pretty preductive guy. Fukudome was better in the second half of the year last year than the first half. He could easily end up doing that again this year. Over and over and over and over this keeps getting said, yet people still throw out the "Fukudome only starts out hot, then sucks." How many times does it have to be said that Fuku had a better 2nd half than 1st half last year, and he had 2 months after the All Star break over a 900 OPS. Can we please stop with the "OMG FUKU SUCKS AFTER APRIL!!!"
  18. It thats not the understatement of the century I dont know what is .
  19. OK, again, 2008 wasn't his only year. He showed last year he can be very good in the second half. Seriously, how many times does it have to be pointed out that Fuku had 2 months of OPS over 900 after the All Star break last year before people stop saying "he only hits in April".
  20. That Mariner lineup he faced last night has to be one of the worst American League lineups I've seen in a long time. Going off just batting average they have Ichiro hitting .341 with the next highest averages at .283 and .275. The next highest after that? .232! Thats with a DH in their lineup, unreal.
  21. Wow the pitcher for the A's has had his skull fractured TWICE! Thats some crazy [expletive]
