  1. Hadnt seen this posted here but according to a poster on RealGm Sam Smith was on ESPN 1000 and said if Bosh wants to sign with the Bulls they will send Taj, 15mill TPE, and 3 1st rounders to Toronto for Bosh. Wow, but then again if they get Lebron also, those picks will be in the last 3-5 picks all 3 years so not that big of deal really.
  2. Oh God, I hope we get a coulple guys on so Stevens has to bat because of Lous fascination with burning threw players. Maybe somebody will actually question him on pinch running for Soto, or burning Nady so Fuku can bunt.
  3. Dude, Hill has to catch in the late innings of a close game what are you talking about.
  4. Nice throw from Theriot trying to get Castro killed at 2nd base to turn the DP
  5. I think he was just saying that Soriano is setting the sights a bit low to be content with a split. The problem is that he doesn't seem to even know the Reds are the team in first place right now. I'm well aware of the fact the Reds are in 1st place, but it's not exactly like they're the 1927 Yankees. Everyone makes a big deal about how mediocre the NL Central is. For a player to hope for a split at home against the Reds just goes to show how lost this team is. The discussion about "firing Piniella" should be centered on the fact that this team that this team has no fire and doesn't seem to care. Thats actually about the last thing that thread should be centered on as it has no merit or proof. Z tried fighting a teammate showing the "fire" and boy has it done wonders. Lee slammed his helmet down after hitting into another DP, there is that fire and care, but yet Cubs still lose.
  6. Id still like to see the proof of Gorzellany being a whiny bitch when he was moved to the pen. And who could blame him if he was(which he wasnt) considering how much better he was pitching than 2-3 of the guys that got to stay in the rotation.
  7. Listening on radio and the boo's seem to be getting more and more noticable after each inning of the Cubs hitting. Can you hear it on TV?
  8. different races... invalid comparison in all seriousness, jackson is at .326/.426/.543/.969 for the year, with 21 doubles, 8 triples, 8 homers, 14 SB, 62 runs, 44 RBI and 45 RBI in 71 games. that's very good. Damn those are some crazy numbers, especially coming from a CF'er.
  9. I dont see anyway Johnson turns down the max deal with Atl.
  10. Just get Lebron and I really don't care about the rest.
  11. If Scott is taking Cleveland job, Im thinking it says more about either Phil Jackson is staying in LA, or Byron has been told Brian Shaw will get the LA job if Phil leaves. Im not sure Byron has anything to do with Lebron.
  12. Man, Jackson is getting me really really excited.
  13. Fundamentals fall back on the manager...and defense is a part of fundamentals. We lead the league in unearned runs hmmmm
  14. . Lou has started Soto 2 or 3 times in a day game after a night game. Its more idiotic that Lou is platooning these guys. Soto has 4 starts all month vs a right handed pitcher
  15. It's not even that for me. If you told me the Bears are going to make a Jay Cutler like move and get an affordable young superstar in the making and never pick in the 1st 2 rounds again, I'd be fine with it (generically speaking). But a move for Jackson would be falling into the Cubs trap of spending big money and failing to continue to infuse young talent in to get better. Woah what? Jackson won't turn 28 till after this season is over, so if you trade for him and sign him to a 5 yr deal you get him for ages 27-32. We are talking about a guy who averages over 17 yards per catch. Yea hes never been the 100 catch reciever like some other guys in the league but hes gradually progressed his catches every year in the league from 41 to 59, and to 68 this past year. Hes played on a San Diego offense that hasn't lacked talent and that spreads the ball around pretty good. With this organizations history of developing offensive guys, Id have no problem giving up a 2nd round pick for Jackson. I think you guys are severely underestimating him here.
  16. I think that'll be Friday's big story. Monday was Chicago, Tuesday was Miami, I think today is the Knicks turn, tomorrow is probably the Nets. Actually that seems to be todays story. Broussard is saying Cleveland is the favorites now lol
  17. Soto has roughly 59 PA and a 950 OPS in June, Hill is at 35 and 688. RIght, and Im pretty sure the majority of Soto's PA have come against all the leftys we have faced this month. Hill has had the majority of PA vs RH pitchers that we have faced this month. I think you're probably right. Unfortunately Lou seems to be looking at incorrect stats again. I know they've mentioned the fact that Hill has a better BA against right-handers as a reason he is starting a decent amount. I also wonder if the fact that Hill's BA is over 300 points higher than Soto with RISP is factoring into it. That seems like something Lou would probably look at with all his team's struggles in that department this year. I just wish he would look at the bigger picture and not things with small sample sizes that are going to change eventually. I just looked it up, and Geo has started 4 games the entire month vs RH pitching.
  18. Soto has roughly 59 PA and a 950 OPS in June, Hill is at 35 and 688. RIght, and Im pretty sure the majority of Soto's PA have come against all the leftys we have faced this month. Hill has had the majority of PA vs RH pitchers that we have faced this month.
  19. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicagobears/post/_/id/4665093/trade-for-chargers-wr-jackson-intriguing Yes, yes, yes, yes PLEASE!
  20. Koyie Hill starting again today. Lou seriously is platooning these guys at this point. How many starts has Soto had in the last month vs RH pitchers?
  21. Hahahahahaha [expletive] Koyie Hill is starting again. Lou seriously is platooning Soto and Hill.
  22. i don't think people really thought he would opt out Late in the season it was expected that he would opt out for the payday. No one seems to think there's much chance of him Dallas. He likes it there, he's the man there and Cuban treats him (and the rest of the team well) and has been loyal to him. People don't think he's all that interested in starting over somewhere as the #2, even if that gets him closer to a title. He would be ideal alongside Wade or James though. Glad Im not alone in thinking this. Him, Lebron, Rose, and Noah would be absolutely sick.
