  1. Whats your point? Ronnys had a good day, better than Theriot has been in Sept.
  2. Fixed
  3. Another ball hit hard by Soto. Against the Reds he needs to start or they are going to run us wild like they did Milw that first night.
  4. Yeah i'm pretty sure there's a football thread for this.. Yea Im pretty sure I dont care. Funny you didnt say a word to Raisin when he posted TD Bears.
  5. Not quite sure the jump was needed but Im sure it was in tribute to Jimmy
  6. Random. I'd also go with Ward. I thought about it after seeing Soto run for that foul ball in what looked like slow motion. Soto is ridiculously slow. If it's 1 race, Floyd is easily the fastest (Floyd has lost a couple steps from his 147 career stolen bases but he's not as slow as the 2 of them). If it's 3 races, Soto wins after Floyd hurts himself in the 1st leg. I laughed
  7. ha. Pat: Edmonds thought that was outside, and he walks away from the plate on a little Protest Stroll. LMAO
  8. Edmonds keeps bailing out on pitches tailing back over the plate lol
  9. The "great one" on this board predicted Marquis would have an ERA over 5. Marquis has been solid all season for the Cubs. No he hasnt but hes been better than expected. Hes had his ups and downs, and Im glad he pitched well today. You made an argument for Marshall, saying he was "good. Marquis has been a little better, how is that not solid? If you just went by reading this board, you'd think Marquis pitches blindfolded. Im not gettin into this again Marquis has been better than I expected, but I just wish he hadnt been so horrible for those 2 months. You dont have to get into anything. Its simple. If you consider Marshall's season to be good, the same can be said for Marquis. Different standards are held for different players, espceially those making 7 million a year. I guess my problem lies in Hendry for thinking Marquis was actually worth that much money. As a number 4 starter, he is doing just fine. Now, but he wasnt in June July and August which is when all the bitching was happening. Hehe... And was warranted for his production last year and the contract Hendry gave him The bitching started in December.

I guess my problem lies in Hendry for thinking Marquis was actually worth that much money. I'm not comparing money, but rather performance. Marquis doesn't decide how much he is paid. Marquis performance has been extremely adequate for a 3/4/5th starter, whatever you want to call him. Hence, why I said the bolded

  16. What?Ive complimented him all day, and other days, not sure what the bug eyes are for. Im a Cubs fan, I dont care who it is as long as they give us a chance to win a game.
  17. And now comes the crackhead to bat
  18. They've got as good a case as anybody. 2 power conference teams away from home and one of the best MAC programs is a decent non-con slate, especially when the biggest obstacle to scoring thus far has been changing play calling to try to kill clock because they're up by 25 points. Illinois was hardly away from home.
