Fraught with irony, this emoticon is. Come on, all this crying and feeling sorry for the players is over the top. Its not like these players had been recruited by Sampson for a long time, and formed a real close bond to him. Hell if I was the players Id be pissed off and telling him to kiss my ass. If im the players Im thinking, "you get caught once, and get in trouble, but yet you still dont stop and now you are embarrassing the hell out of us and this school?' Take a hike. But I guess thats just me Sampson recruited all but one of these players. And yes, many do see him as a father figure. It's obvious from everything that has happened over the last couple days that the players were very, very close to Sampson. They probably shouldn't have been, but that doesn't change the reality of the situation. Hes been there 2 years, like I said its not like he recruited these kids from the time they were freshman. And I still say if I were the players Id be more pissed at him for causing embarrassment to themselves and the University, instead of feeling sad for their scum of a coach.

Well he has been in trouble twice this year before this came out. Once for fighting with a teammate, once for missing a game for familiy reasons, then this. I would assume it is just three strikes he is gone and nothing major. But, since no one has came out and said the main reason yet, it is just an assumption. Wasnt the reason for missing a game due to a family members death out of state, but he was still disciplined? Or am I not remembering that correctly. Yeah it was, but i think the coach was mad about the way Jereme handled it. I think it was he didn't let him know why, he just said I am not going to be there. Still seems like a pretty bs reason to discipline a kid.

Thats standard for somebodys first DUI. Its usually a 500-750 fine 2 years court supervision, and you are ordered to undergo a certain amount of alcohol classes depending on how you are rated on your evaluation.

:shock: Son of a. I heard he had some problems. So what now, probably a transfer to a new school? !4-15 year old kids who have been pimped to be the next great thing, usually never turn out well. Its a hell of a lot of pressure for a kid that age to handle.

Agreed, the Bulls made out probably better than what I expected they could get for Wallace. Good deal by Paxson, to recognize his mistake, and make a change.

Seriously if you read hes quotes they are laughable. Making tons of excuses about injuries, and how he plays hard every night. Well Ben, you guys were sucking when everybody was healthy, and I think we need to ask Skiles about you playing hard every night. He was terrible, but at the same time the Bulls were very strange with him. Getting on him over a headband. We should all just be happy he is gone, Ben included. While the rule about headbands was dumb, it was still a rule, and everybody on the team should follow them. I guess, but if the Bulls had drafted LeBron I wonder if they would have taken the same stance with him? Wallace was paid like a superstar, then treated like a rookie. I can see why he was peeved at the Bulls too. Meh, if not getting to wear a headband while getting paid a crapload of money pisses him off, well I dont know what to say. Hes a baby, and a coach killer. I wonder how long Clevelands coach will be around now that Wallace is there? The sad thing is he went from being very underrated to very overrated the minute he signed the Bulls deal. For years he was all effort. Then he got paid. He was made by Sheed.

But still a rule, correct? sure, but why alienate your new, highly paid free agent with a petty rule? scott skiles was too often a red ass for the sake of being a red ass The rule was in place before Ben Wallace signed the deal, if it mattered that much to him then he shouldnt have signed here.
