  1. Whos overrating him? Hes better than Mark Anderson/Charles Grant/Other crap on our roster at DE. Brown paired with Peppers would be a definite upgrade over any of those other guys. Yeah, but it was hardly a huge mistake to get rid of him. Mark Anderson sucking and getting cut doesn't mean the Bears should have paid Alex Brown what he was getting paid for another season. This coaching staff's infatuation with Mark Anderson has been a bad thing ever since he had that big rookie year. They have lived off that rookie year with him for the last 3 years while hes done nothing since. Brown was going to get what something like 5 million? Brown has been productive and never had a guy on the line like Peppers. There really is no reason to think Brown wouldn't have been worth the 5mil in this defense.

  3. It keeps getting better.
  4. Haha it gets even better. The guy couldnt even stick on a UFL roster?
  5. Well this is encouraging news..... profootballfocus.com
  6. He was involved in the Starcaps case, and now is in the UFL. Apparently we haven't yet signed him, we're working on it. So that means we released Anderson without a definite move in place. Something is fishy. Grant has signed according to the Bears website.
  7. No. I'm done dealing draft picks. This team is already far too reliant on older players. They are desperately in need of an influx of young bodies. I get that, but 28(will be 29 at start of next season) isn't that old for an olineman is it? Also drafting at 20 or beyond, the talent we can get there on the line will probably be nowhere near Mankins level. If we were going to pick earlier and could grab the best Guard/tackle in the draft I wouldnt do it either, but picking in the 18 and on range, and Angelo's complete lack of ability to draft a good lineman, Id think very hard about it if the Pats would do it.
  8. With all the talk about the lack of top talent Olineman in this years 1st round, would anybody be willing to trade our 1st round pick this year to the Patriots for Mankins? Surely it wouldnt take more than that, or is that too much? Hes 28 right now and hasn't missed a game since being drafted. Noone in the 1st round is going to be better than him if we pick in the 20's if I were to guess. Just throwing that out there
  9. Also a 2012 conditional pick
  10. It means we would get to keep our 2nd round pick if we signed him. It's something. Ahh yea forgot about the 2nd round pick, my fault.
  11. Doesnt really effect the Cubs in regards to Dunn, but mlbtraderumors has their Type A and B lists out and Dunn is listed as a Type B, barely missing out on Type A status. Since our pick is protected it doesnt mean much except for possibly more teams being interested in him as a B, and the Nats will probably offer him arbitration if its true. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
  12. Anybody have an online feed for this game? At work with no TV
  13. Man, if only the professional athletes in Chicago were as tough as you. They would be unbeatable
  14. Carolina has 4 sacks all year, Im willing to bet they get 4 in this game by itself.
  15. Sounds like good news, but who knows with "lovie talk".
  16. They play the Colts next so you'd think that will end next week. Week 5 seems pretty early to have no undefeated teams but I could be wrong. The Colts just lost to the Jags, Id say its far from a sure thing they beat the Chiefs.
  17. What was the injury report on Collins? He didn't look too good, either. Lovie said stinger after the game.
  18. You think sitting down and not even trying to fight a guy trying to bring you down is playing well or not? It is perfectly clear to me that Cutler got flustered by the pressure and pretty much gave up. When the guys are wrapping him up and there are more than 1 doing it, fighting them is not going to do much. He was flustered, and for all we know, his head was seeing stars, but to think he gave up is absurd. The plays I am talking about was when there was only one guy trying to wrap him up. Whatever. You think he quit, gave up, whatever and you arent going to change your mind and Im not going to change my mind that its a completely ignorant position to take regarding Cutler so.
  19. A QB going rogue on the play calling isn't unheard of. I don't think he was TRYING to play poorly...but you don't think there was something flat out weird about some of those strips after he'd been hammered the entire first half? Yea I think his brain was in shambles at the point and shouldnt even have been in the game, but Cutler was trying to fight thru it to help his team win. Then at halftime the staff could tell something was wrong with him and his actions, had him checked out, and the medical staff determined he had signs of a concussion. Sounds a hell of alot more plausible than him just giving up.

  21. Well 1 good thing about next weeks game is Steve Smith has a high ankle sprain and Id be surprised if he played.
  22. Seriously. Its beyond ridiculous
  23. He just didnt try to play good? Really? Wow that may be the absolute most ignorant thing Ive ever read on this site. Ever.
  24. Hey at least no one on the line got beat twice! Right? Man our line sucks.
  25. I guess Jim Miller said Cutler got the concussion on the first play of the second half. What exactly happened on that play? Thats the play Dungy was talking about Bennett being open and Cutler holding the ball too long. Dlineman for Giants had about a 10 yard full head of steam from behind to just level Cutler.
