  1. You mean when he walks a guy to get to face Braun?
  2. He did. He was up yelling at the 1b ump Yea he really gave him hell huh....
  3. Ryan Franklin just gave up a HR to Hairston Jr 7-6 Stl
  4. He [expletive] went. Come on Lou get off your ass
  5. Thats it Im done. Bench Soto and start Hill. If you cant hit your weight Soto at least play some [expletive] defense
  6. Can we stop with the Stevens love? They guy has walked 7 guys in 13 innings, why do you think Lou wants another guy with command issues in the pen? I know I can deal with a few more walks than ideal if he can do even half as well as his current .089 BAA. His walk rate has been fine in his 300+ innings prior to this year, I don't think his first 14 IP this year are enough to make me think he's a wildman now. Why was I thinking he had control problems in the past? Is it 1 of the other guys we got from Cleve in that trade?
  7. We really are the dumbest team in all of baseball
  8. In the head? No. In the ribs? Sign me up. In the head, or Id take one in his hand if it put him on the DL. Annnnnnd heeeeeeeeeeere we go
  9. Who? Shane Robinson? Chris Duncan? Do you actually know?
  10. Marmol, I will not be mad at you if you let a fastball slip and hit Braun in the head, then K the side ok?
  11. Nice job Fontenot, and GREAT JOB GUZMAN! Heilman, take note buddy

  13. So Im assuming since Freel isnt starting hes unavailable again? So we are now playing 2 men short today. This team is run by a bunch of [expletive] idiots
  14. No I said it exactly how I wanted to say it. Had we had a RH hitter on the bench to face Stetter there is a very good chance the game turns out differently. Stetters numbers against rightys are alot worse than his numbers vs LH hitters. If the Cubs tie that game up, or take the lead the game would have turned out very differently. We wouldnt have seen Fox, or Patton in that game, or had to throw Heilman to the wolves. Lou was hoping Demp could get 1 more inning since we were still down, but had it been tied or we had the lead, Marmol would have been used. Yes there is a lack of trust in the 5-7 guys in the pen, but thats why you dont play your bench a man short so you can tie it or take the lead and skip having to use Fox, Patton, or Heilman. Fox was unavaliable for Iowa yesterday due to being hit with part of a broken bat, meaning he wouldnt have been available for us either so the bench man would have been Brad Snyder, whose a lefty or Jason Dubois, and weve been there and done that. Id take Dubois up there against Stetter over Hoff. Lefties struggle mightily against Stetter, any RH bat in AAA would have been a better option. Again the teams unwillingness to DL players is completely absurd, especially when that player has been terrible all year. Hell Id taken my chances with Koyie Hill facing Stetter and finishing the game at 1st base. Or why not Reed to face Stetter and move Bradley to 1st for 2 innings? 1st base isnt that difficult for someone to play for 2 innings, hell Im pretty sure Soto has played it in the minors a little.
  15. Its not hard to find guys in the minors that are RH and can hit LH pitching, but struggle vs Rh's. Also thats all we need is a bench player as Hoff will take all the starts vs rightys anyway. Had we had that "bench player" last night, there is a very good chance the game turns out differently. Maybe Fridays game, but yesterdays was pretty much doomed the moment Dempster went out for the 7th. Demp wouldnt have went out for the 7th had we scored in the 6th with bases loaded 1 out. Marmol would have been used more than likely to face the top of their lineup in the 7th, but Lou left Hoff in to face a Lefty who hold LH hitters under .100 because D Lee is hamstringing this team right now by not going on the DL. You should have said theres some chance the game turns out differently, not a very good one. It comes down to the complete lack of trust in 5/7 of the pen. 16. Which cant be any worse than what we have gotten from Lee so far.
  17. You keep talking about bringing Stevens up, and I have no clue why. What part of his 13ip and 7 walks do you think Lou is going to like? He has command issues, and we have enough of that already in our bullpen. My philospophy is I prefer the guy who has yet to prove he can do the job over the guy who has proved he cant. Stevens has proven throughout his minor league career he struggles with command. Him coming to the majors, with more patient hitters, and you think things will be different for him? Stevens is not the answer right now.
