  1. Ball 4 was a strike not sure where he has to throw it
  2. Apparently the only way to get a called strike is to throw it directly down the middle of the plate. This zone is BS
  3. Oh look our "backup 1st baseman" gets another hit.
  4. This umps strike zone is tiny as hell
  5. I swear Pence must have like a .750 OBP against us. Hes on base it seems like every time
  6. that would be amazing with this wind. Len and Bob said wind is blowing out towards CF. Pat said it's blowing from the north/NW. Not sure how that's out to CF. I dont know, but Len and Bob said its blowing from the West.
  7. Wow what a shock, Lee cant catch up to a fastball.

  9. Who exactly are the 3 HOF players the Rockets are missing?
  10. So Dye gets 2 games for throwing a helmet and hitting an umpire with it, and Bradley gets 2 games for supposedly brushing an umpire with his cap? Screw you MLB
  11. Nope they are startin Wells tomorrow, and skipping Marshall altogether so Lou can finally get him in the pen. Harden is pitching Sunday. Guess Lou finally got his wish. Hooray for skipping the guy whos been really good this year, for a kid making his 2nd career start just so we can have a loogy worth a damn.
  12. Wells is starting tomorrow, and Lou is happy as hell because now he can skip Marshall and have him in the pen. Yea lets skip the guy whos pitched really good this year, for a kid making his 2nd career start.
  13. So for those of us not in Chicago, hows it looking? Any chance?
  14. Huh, the velocity for Carpenter surprises me. According to BA, he was 92-95 and topped out at 97 last year at Boise. I wonder if Peoria's gun is slow. Good to hear his curve looks good. Did you get a read on Huseby's velocity? Thanks for the report. I want to say the gun was only reading 88-90 for Huseby but it looked like he was throwing harder than that. Whatever he was throwing QC couldnt touch, and werent getting good swings at all. Actually there wasnt anybody on QC that was overly impressive except the 2nd game starter, and he had Peoria confused, but again his gun readings were 88 or so also. Im thinking the gun was slow like you said, but not sure. I was definatley impressed with Carpenter though. The gun isnt slow. Carp is 91-93 sometimes touching 94-95. Huseby is 88-91. And their second pitcher was an anomaly tonight. We hit three bombs off him in April and he has more walks than IP on the season but had control tonight. He had 19 WP in 10 1/3 innings last season. We do struggle with curveballs and he was throwing his for strikes tonight. Tiger - 2 ejections for Vitters. And this one was COMPLETE bs. Bad bad umpiring. Thanks I was wondering cause he was making the Chiefs look bad that 2nd game. And glad to see Im not the only person who thought the ejection was BS. Minor league umpire who wanted to be seen basically. Vitters said nothing to the guy
  15. I think so heck its 2 in 2 weeks isnt it? Didnt he get kicked on his hr/non hr play?

  17. Just got back from the Chiefs double header, and like usual I had a blast. The 1st game the wind was blowing out pretty hard, but all 3 hrs the Chiefs hit were legit. Wasnt too impressed with Belivue, and I cant tell you how hard he was throwing as the radar didnt start working until after he was out of the game. Harrison looked real bad on breaking pitches tonight, 1st time Ive seen him so it may have been a bad night, but he was flailing away at breaking pitches. Ridling has some power wow. I was pretty impressed with his D as well, but his power is impressive. Vitters is impressive. The ball just sounds good off his bat. Brenley is a beast. Damn that kid is big, and his hr was a shot. For those who have been to Peoria it hit the top of the netting in left field that protects the cars on that road. Oh, and Brenleys girlfriend is HOTTTT, wow. Lastly, I liked Huseby. He has kind of a funky delivery, but he had 2 really impressive innings. Ok now for the 2nd game, Carpenter was impressive. He hit 93 a few times, but mainly sat 88-91, but his offspeed pitch was nasty. Only a couple hard hit balls against him all night, the 1st batter of the game, and Moreno(sp) hit a ball foul that had the distance. If he could add about 2 mph or so on his fastball and consistently sit between 90-93, he could be somebody to really watch. The QC starting pitcher I dont think hit 90mph the entire game, but the Chiefs couldnt do squat against his breaking pitch either. Vitters had a real good 2nd game, with every ball he hit smoked. I dont think he even had a defensive chance the entire game, so I cant comment on that. Now, regarding his ejection, in my opinion it was completely ridiculous, and just a minor league umpire trying to be seen. Tie game and base hit and Vitters tries scoring from 2nd. The ball clearly beat him to home, but was up the 1st base side a little, which gave Vitters time to head first slide to the back side of the plate. Where I was sitting which was 3 rows up, exactly on line with the 3rd base foul pole behind home, Vitters got his hand in before being tagged on his shoulder. Umpire called him out, and Vitters got up, and tossed his helmet to the ground(kinda like what Dye did) and the ump kicked him out. Vitters didnt say a word to the ump, look at the ump, nothing, but was still kicked out because he tossed his helmet. Noone beside Josh could possibly know if he tossed his helmet, because he thought he was safe, or he tossed it because he was the go ahead run int he bottom of the 6th inning and just got thrown out trying to score. Like I said, In my opinion it was BS. Overall a real good time like usual, and Im planning on going a lot more often.
