  1. For minor league RH pitcher Brett Jacobson, he was ranked the 10th best Tiger prospect by BA at the start of the season.
  2. Supposedly for 2.9million. Was really hoping they wouldnt get him signed. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/
  3. Lou is nowhere close to being a great manager. He isnt the worst manager, but hes definitely not a great manager.
  4. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2072879/brett_favre_still_undecided.html This is beyond ridiculous. Im to the point I hope he comes back and is brutal, or he comes back and gets hurt in his 1st game, knocking him out for the year. Get over yourself
  5. The Mets aren't giving up Jose Reyes for 1 year of Ted Lilly, and Luis Castillo sucks. Way to ruin my dream damnit. Although if the Cubs had Reyes, they would probably move him to 2nd and keep Theriot at SS...
  6. UGH WCIU! Anybody got a link to watch this one online?
  7. We are still trying to win next year aren't we? Why in the world would you trade one of your top two starters? As some others have pointed out, I don't think trading Lilly means they aren't trying to win next year. They may have the SP depth to do both. If the offense is going to be upgraded, they likely need to free up some money. I think Lilly, and possibly Dempster, are among the few tradeable assets the Cubs have they may bring is some reasonable value and free up cash. I'm not sure who fits the bill, but they could deal Lilly to a pitching starved team and that team send back an impact bat at either second base or shortstop. Instead of a Lilly for prospects deal, do a Lilly for impact bat deal. The Mets?
  8. Sure is nice to see Peoria playing well. Here is a little story about Brett Jackson 4 of my Cardinal fan friends went to the Chiefs game last week when Lilly was there. They were sitting right by the on-deck circle, and apparently giving Jackson [expletive] the entire time during warmups. So in one of his at bats(i think 1st) they were giving him crap, calling him a female dog, etc...and Jackson looked over at them and said, "Ill show you a female dog". Walked up to the plate, and absolutely murdered the pitch off the wall for a double. Next time up they started heckling him because he "only" hit the wall, so Jackson tells them again, "watch this", and he then crushes a pitch for a HR. When he touched home plate and was heading to the dugout, he asks them, "How they liked that one". So in one of his next at bats they tell him, "Ok, you hit another one out and the strippers are on me at Club Caberet". He starts laughing, and says, "Club Caberet, oh yea"? They again tell him yup they are on them, if he goes yard again. He tells them they have a deal, and walks up to the plate and crushes a HR opposite field, and when going back to the dugout he tells them "Ill meet you guys there", and starts laughing his ass off. Needless to say my buddys went to the strip club, but Jackson didnt show up. Probably a good thing as Id rather he not get arrested. Just thought it was pretty funny story and thought Id share it.
  9. Exactly. That Brett Favre guy seemed to have a pretty decent career, if thats what we get from Cutler, I guess its ok............... I mean not everyone can be a Sage Rosenfels, or a Tavaris Jackson.
  10. Yea but now they get to play LA in LA, I really hope LA doesnt lay down for them in this series like they did in Stl. LA had plenty of chances to beat their ass in Stl and gave them each game.
  11. Had the Cardinals been winning that game you can bet your ass that game would have already been called. Ridiculous
  12. Padres up 5-4 on a sac fly! Runner on 1st 1 out still
  13. Tie game with runners on 1st and 3rd still! No outs also
  14. Starting to thunder at Busch, at least get this game tied up Padres
  15. Padres 1st and 3rd nobody out....Lets see how they Cub this up
  16. This thing going to get played today or no?
  17. he's out sick I thought it was Theriot who was out sick?
  18. Good to see the Cubs arent the only stupid team that keeps pitching to Gonzalez.
  19. Why the hell isnt Baker in the lineup today? Ever heard of riding the hot hand Lou?
  20. Cubs got a break at 2nd base and took advantage of it wow. Lee looked scared to slide at home, Im guessing because of his neck issues.
  21. Hes hitting .348 out of the leadoff spot, but hes only taken 2 walks in almost 50 at bats leading off. I guess if he keeps hitting .350 he really doesnt need to walk much, but odds of that happening are slim.
  22. Love Miltons excitement. Theriot would have been nowhere near getting Milton on that play. Hell of a try from Cedeno
  23. I really would like to have another laugher like yesterday.
  24. GameCast had two of them right down the middle? Na they were all balls.
