    Yea absolutely no excuse to miss that call. He honestly should be pulled from this series for missing that call. At least Twins still scored. Had that call went against the Yankees or Twins, we probably would have a rule change regarding replay. I assume you mean at least Mauer got a hit because the Twins haven't scored yet this inning. Heh wow see what happens when you have the game on but arent watching closely? I thought they scored. Horrible

    Schadenfreude keeps just fine overnight and there's nothing wrong with enjoying a nice, tall glass of it the next day. Coupled with the Mizzou debacle, it was just too perfect. And for all the times I've seen idiots here go as Bartman for Halloween, etc., no way am I taking the high road. So are you going to go as Holliday with a ball glued to your nuts, and a white towel covering your face?

The Dodgers can do whatever they choose when it comes to what color the towels are. Go whine about it somewhere else. He's trying to protect his teammate. It's not like he's going to throw Holliday under a bus. Then say, "He missed the ball, it happens, we still had plenty of other chances to end the game, and we didnt." Blaming it on the towels really makes him sound like a whiny bitch. Him blaming it on the towels would have been like the Cubs players coming out and blaming 2003 on Bartman. Its ridiculous.

    Accusing Arroyo of doctoring the ball after he shut them out, Smoltz whining about the baseball being slick after he got rocked, Wainright blaming the towels for why they choked, all just fits into the Cards and Larussa. Larussa has always had excuses accusing people of stealing signs, his pitchers for tipping pitches when they get rocked, their pitchers almost hitting someone in the head and its ok, but let a ball get anywhere near their batters heads and Larussa is having a [expletive] fit, saying ML pitchers should be able to keep the ball away from hitters heads etc.... Excuses and placing the blame on someone else are nothing new with the Cardinals.

    You guys talking about Randy Wolf starting game 1 realize he has and ERA of 3.23 and a WHIP of 1.10 this year right? He also has a BAA of .227. Outside of 1 month this season Randy Wolf has been 1 of the best starting pitchers in the NL.

    Joel Pinerio 3.49 ERA 11 homeruns in 214 innings pitched Ryan Franklin 1.92 ERA 2 homeruns in 61 innings pitched. Those are the biggest 2 off top of my head

    He had a bac over 2.4 in between the 2 most important games of the year yikes. He was also 0-11 on the weekend without even hitting anything out of the infield. If Detroit loses today, and he doesnt do anything positive, hes going to have a rough offseason in Detroit.

    We went 4-0 in pre season, last time I checked thats pretty good And last time I checked, its completely meaningless, and thats IMB's point. A lot of Pack fans were talking like they were the greatest team because of that 4-0 start.
