  1. How about Paredes?
  2. This. And what I think they are missing is an obvious fix to Morel at the plate. The fact that the Rays are willing to make this trade is evidence that Kelly and Mallee should be fired.
  3. I don’t think so. Paredes is a move with an eye on “25 and beyond. Starting pitcher is a position of strength (this year’s injuries notwithstanding).
  4. One of my preseason bold predictions was that Little would be the closer by the end of the year. I had really had high hopes for him. I’m a sucker for big lefties. I’m still hoping Andy Sisco rises from the dead. i really hope Little can come back from this.
  5. We should get this guy and hand him the 3B job next year.
  6. You said “Why on earth are people so damn afraid of trading a "decent backup," which is a stretch considering he's a replacement level player as it stands, for a potential decent starter? I’m saying you are blind to the value Morel has. Be a little more diligent.
  7. No im saying you may have properly valued your commodity (fair offer). I’m saying they may see hidden value in your commodity that you don’t. (Not an “unfair” offer, but an unequal one). It’s on you to figure out which. Buyer beware. Whoever it was that was calling him out for being afraid doesn’t know the difference between afraid and beware.
  8. If someone else wants to make a trade, you should always be wary of it. It means you have either properly valued or undervalued your own commodity. Due diligence requires making sure which.
  9. PCA is a nincompoop. This time it has nothing to do with baserunning. He’s just a doofus.
  10. No Busch, no PCA. Wisdom at first, Belli in CF.
  11. Don’t worry. Almonte should be back soon.
  12. It is odd how multiple perennial positive offensive WAR position players have stopped hitting. I am still holding out hope that they are all banged up and we will see an offense that’s more and less offensive emerge any day now. Today would be good.
  13. Is Morel still having trouble with his finger? I really do think the whole team is playing banged up right now and they just need to find ways to rest these guys. Bote is healthy and has enough skills to have had success in the past. Putting Morel at DH for a while and getting some guys actual rest could lead them back to healthy.
  14. I know the twittersphere sees this as a low, but I really think Bote has something left to offer.
  15. Just remember, league average ain’t what it used to be. Still, I agree with you.
  16. Great diving catch by the gold glover in LF. I know it’s crazy, but like to see them try him out back at 2B as long as he’s hitting like a middle infielder and both our middle infielders are unavailable.
  17. If Bellinger is bad enough to exercise his options the next two years, he is probably the 4th outfielder/lefty off the bench.
  18. I hate Dansby being hurt. I like him going to the IL if he's hurt. If his lack of performance is because of an injury, that is much better than the alternative explanation that it was just him sucking. I think this is very good.
  19. The solution is obvious. Keep the same award, just rename it the Cy Imanaga Award.
