You're right, vance. This IS his future he's dealing with. More than anybody but Maddux, Prior has always struck me as intelligent and wise. I think he's shutting himself down, and I think its a good call. If the Cubs did know about this injury earlier (I don't think they did) it may have been what kept them from trading him for Tejada...a blessing in disguise, no? But more likely Prior has taken it out the Cubs' less capable hands. He's been abused in the past and he knows how and when to release information. People can call him a wuss if they want, but he's going to be around for a long time.
