  1. San Jose isn't exactly playing the trap, but they are sitting back and clogging the neutral zone.
  2. Almost 60 minutes now since the last San Jose penalty
  3. Dealer, can I have this back and use my one time on the next round?
  4. Wait? Howry is actually on the big league roster? I thought it was just a minor league deal ](*,) Edit: I see him warming up. Sickening I don't know why this post cracked me up, but it pretty much captured the essence of being a Cubs fan.
  5. Oh well, happens in the heat of the moment sometimes. He didn't and we won yay. BTW, I love my new sig. I love it too! That right there is why the Blackhawks are a better team than the Sharks.
  6. Watched the replay so many times. Byfuglien had 2/3rds of the net to shoot at and darn near put it into Nabokov's arm.
  7. So you're saying the EC team will sweep? Anything could happen. I'd much rather play Montreal than Philadelphia. The Canadiens are a bad team that got lucky/hot for a few rounds. The Flyers are a good team that had some injury problems and has had a ridiculously easy path to the finals while getting healthy at the same time. Flyers are very capable of beating Chicago in a seven-game series. Not favored, or even close, but capable.
  8. Watching Philly and Montreal, and again I just can't see how these two teams are on the same level as San Jose or Chicago. Slow and bad.
  9. Hockey pron http://www.wgnradio.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/wgnam-blackhawks-podcast-052110,0,120883.mp3file
  10. San Jose has gone 46:31 without having a penalty called against them. Not quite up to their 73:31 streak in games 1 and 2.
  11. I was thinking the Indianapolis score in the first was a field goal and not a TD. I'm waffling on how I really feel about the SCF. Neither team would be a walkover. Philly's got a deep team and two top-notch defensemen. Montreal has a hot goalie (sometimes) and a couple guys who can really finish chances.
  12. Chicago Bears, who had an 11-point lead early in Super Bowl XLI.
  13. I'm totally doom and gloom. All the experiences I have with my teams being in fantastic postseason position end with doom and gloom, so what else would I be? :) 3-1 in the NLCS! 11-point lead in the Super Bowl! Best team in baseball! The Sharks forwards completely wet the bed on that final play, but that's what makes the Blackhawks the best team in the NHL, and why a lot of other great teams' fans underestimate them: Chicago's forwards are both offensively skilled and extremely defensively responsible. The defense of our forwards is this team's X factor, what puts them over the top. Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Bolland, Madden, Ladd, that's two guys on every non-checking line that are elite or near-elite defensive forwards. And I wouldn't consider the other three guys to be defensive liabilities. They are the reason we've played 3 games against the San Jose Sharks and allowed just 2 even-strength goals.
  14. yea, i dont feel very good about this one either. hope i'm wrong Feel better about yourselves, guys? :D No. This is just set up too perfectly. Which would be more gutting, blowing a 3-0 lead vs. the Sharks or failing to put it away against a very mediocre East champion?
  15. Don't know what to say. So happy. So relieved.
  16. Prediction: Niemi finally allows a softie.
  17. Take away four minutes of PP time and add four minutes of PK time, and I think that'd be a lot more even.
  18. Anyone wanna bet that San Jose gets a power play in OT and we don't?
  19. Might as well give them another one and make it a five-on-three. Can we move on to game 4 now?
  20. I'd say we were going to get a make-up call, but the Saintly Sharks of course will not do anything that could possibly be a call.
  21. Come on Madden. You aren't going to beat a guy one-on-one. Get it deep.
  22. It would be nice if San Jose wasn't getting away with the exact same stuff.
