The bright side is that my opponent for the week sat him in our Fantasy League... 3 pages for a game thread ? I remember when these were routinely 50+... All the posters were driven off by group think. Everyone left has the same thoughts on the game, so no need to post them.

Stupid question: Has anyone ever done a WAR:dollars study on these high draft picks? It seems like an awful lot to shell out millions to these guys when they can be such a long shot to even make the majors.

Every time someone talks about how the Vogon we drafted can do nothing but hit, I get a prospect boner. That's kind of the hardest part to find in a player.

The 2006 Cubs had a lot more pieces in place. I don't see a hitter on the caliber of mid-2000s Lee or Ramirez on this team. Then again, the 2011 offseason promises some better prizes than Soriano.
