    yeah sure, some of them, but not necessarily a meaningfully large enough quantity to help you. If you're making contact on 70% of your swings and walking a bunch, enough to help you will.

    Quality of contact is subject to as much variance as anything else. If you're putting it in play a bunch, some of them will be hard-hit in the long run.

    17.9% BB rate 28.6% K rate .143 BABIP 69.6% contact I'd rather see that contact on the right side of 70, and I don't think he's going to be a star with these numbers, but once the hits start falling a little he should continue to be a useful super-sub.

    well, yeah. that's a way different thing. It was definitely hitting me yesterday that the "Rizzo, Castro, who cares for two innings" lineup is past.

    The Roenick trade didn't stop me because I believed the Alex Zhamnov hype. And the Eric Daze hype. I was pretty sure Thibault would win a Vezina someday.

    Easy undoubtedly means Crawford. They aren't insulting their starter by saying it is "easy" to dump him after one bad period.

It's a *little* true. 7 years ago trying to talk hockey with Chicago sports fans would get you actively shouted down.

    I feel like I'm almost taking it for granted how the Hawks do in the playoffs. There are so many franchises in the league that would kill to see their team come back from a 3-0 deficit on the road in a playoff game. And while we are all excited about the win, it probably won't be in the top 5 or maybe even 10 playoff wins for this core of Blackhawks. I'm gonna try to enjoy it since we are looking to take a step back next year. It might be a couple of years before we reach this awesomeness again. 12-4 in playoff series in the last six years.

    A lot of teams seem to have that opinion. Pitchers don't have as steep of a learning curve as hitters, might as well get value from them while you can.
