I'm almost positive the first time I read about the Cubs doing research into that was Bleacher Nation. I've been assuming it was basically the reason they've been able to identify guys like Happ and Schwarber who were not on people's radar at the time.

Wouldn't it be extra bad to only give a pass to guys on your teams? That feels hypocritical. what? No. How? "I can appreciate athletes as essentially characters without caring about what they are like as human beings" versus "Man, horsefeathers all the bad ones. Except the ones who wear my laundry" The second one makes you a Cardinals fan.

Like 97% of professional athletes are bad people. I've made my peace with it. i get justifying celebrating a team you care about, but to pretend you like the capitals and ovi? I mean, you just want to support awful. Wouldn't it be extra bad to only give a pass to guys on your teams? That feels hypocritical.
