  1. well, that was cool
  2. Horsefeathers Toews, Horsefeathers Kane, horsefeathers that entire season. Never celebrate it again.
  3. I haven't followed this story as closely as I should have. To be clear, they made the guy go away quietly, gave him a reference, he got a job at a high school and molested a kid?
  4. Burn it down. I don't want a single coach, player or executive who was on that team to still be here.
  5. So Fields is the worst QB they've graded?
  6. Nagy is 100% hiding in halas hall
  7. I don't want to defend Nagy straight up, but I don't think he's the entire problem with the offense. 1) We still don't have a currently good NFL quarterback 2) We're spending way too much of our cap space on defense.
  8. Yea. It's still a bad take too. Doctor it hurts when I go like this
  9. Hey remember last year when I said we should take a year to catch our breath from backloading cap hits and start building the foundation like the offensive line before we drafted a QB?
  10. Everyone was clamoring for an experienced backup QB last year to compete with Mitch, hence Foles. Graham was your leading TD catcher last year and great in the red zone. Cohen’s hurt, how is that Pace’s fault? Leno sucked last year and Jenkins was drafted. Is Peters any worse than Leno? Fuller just got benched in Denver. Eddie Jackson decided to be a wuss and give up on any play that’s not a ball thrown at him. I think the Bears are drafting ok as far as the oline goes. They haven’t spent money on stud FAs, but you can argue they usually don’t get to free agency. Pace sucks and has to go, but I don’t think the ones you mentioned are the biggest issues. The Bears are still recovering from drafting Mitch and a lack of spending on the offense are the bigger issues. Football players get hurt, some types get hurt more often than others, and that's why you should be *really* careful which ones you give extension to.
  11. oh god he's going full trubisky
  12. I don't love Nagy, but I still blame Pace more than him. This is a bad roster, badly constructed, because he refuses to care about efficiently spending his resources.
  13. what if fields is bad
  14. I hate contract extensions so much. They fail way more often than they succeed.
  15. This defense has never come up in these situations. It's not their thing. But whatever, Fields showed a flash at least.
  16. I almost never complain about the refs when I could get a doom boner going instead, but that wasn't a hold
  17. This drive is fun.
  18. I'm surprised by how many Bears fans around the net seem surprised by this game.
  19. If they win this game, I will reluctantly put away the doom boner
  20. My majestic doom boner for the Bears is independent of Fields
  21. If the 106-win dodgers go out in a one-and-done, we'll lose the best playoff format in sports and I will be sad.
  22. If we win this game, then there's a good chance we can stay in the playoff hunt thanks to our defense while we struggle to get consistent offense. I have seen this season like 60000 times.
  23. Duncan Keith has always been a piece of human garbage and I'm glad he's off the team. I hated watching him headhunt other team's stars.
  24. This is exactly the kind of stupid game Nagy Bears win on their way to a job-saving, meaningless win total.
  25. Remember how much we laughed when Brewers fans thought their front office and future outlook was better than ours? What idiots they were it ended up being that way, but they weren't right. they thought we were doomed because we traded away guys like eloy/gleyber and then gave out some bad contracts. they didn't know/predict that a) the ricketts would suddenly cutoff spending and b)all our good players would slowly get worse The second one was predictable. I remember that fangraphs article about aging curves being super young in modern MLB being very unpopular with cubs fans.
