I don't think you can blame this on the bat break. Zambrano wasn't pitching well before this inning, he was just getting lucky. His luck has apparently run out.
Anyone know what time the actual Preakness will be on TV? Horseracing is fun 1-3 times a year, but it's got the most ridiculous ratio of pregame to game of any sport.
Zambrano strikes out, the balls in the dirt, he jogs toward first then breaks his bat over his leg before walking back to the dugout. Crowd eats it up.
Somewhere a baseball guy is praising the Pirates batter for getting the runner to third with one out, not noticing that the odds of scoring and the average run expectancy of the inning both swung in the Cubs favor on the play.
It was a lower line drive, probably hit harder than the last one, but not quite as close as the last one. Still pretty close. If the wind wasn't blowing in, it might have at least been off the wall.
