  1. Stay with Zambrano here. He's still your best bet of a GIDP, which is your best bet of getting out of this tied 4-4.

  3. I don't think you can blame this on the bat break. Zambrano wasn't pitching well before this inning, he was just getting lucky. His luck has apparently run out.
  4. dear lord you cannot pitch to Bay here. I'll be happy if we get out of this inning losing 5-4.
  5. He's not hurt, he is just having a bad day with his command. He's been pitching better than expected all season, he's due for this one.
  6. 76 pitches through four for Duke. 20 batters faced, 1 strikeout is not good for him.
  7. Anyone know what time the actual Preakness will be on TV? Horseracing is fun 1-3 times a year, but it's got the most ridiculous ratio of pregame to game of any sport.
  8. Zambrano strikes out, the balls in the dirt, he jogs toward first then breaks his bat over his leg before walking back to the dugout. Crowd eats it up.
  9. Reed Johnson has one of the lowest swing percentages, both in and out of the zone, on the Cubs.
  10. Soto's bad slide suddenly looks a bit more important.
  11. Somewhere a baseball guy is praising the Pirates batter for getting the runner to third with one out, not noticing that the odds of scoring and the average run expectancy of the inning both swung in the Cubs favor on the play.

  13. I'm pretty nervous about the way Zambrano is pitching. If the wind isn't blowing in, it's 3-3 right now.
  14. Just saw the replay. He never touched home. Of course, that didn't stop the Rockies from heading to the playoffs...
  15. Soto's foot catches as he slides and is tagged out after beating the throw but never touching the plate. Ugly fundamentals by the Cubs today.
  16. It was a lower line drive, probably hit harder than the last one, but not quite as close as the last one. Still pretty close. If the wind wasn't blowing in, it might have at least been off the wall.
  17. 6-pitch inning. If this part were five feet smaller all around, Bay would have two home runs.
  18. 44 pitches through two for Duke. I love how this team abuses arms.
  19. He's at 950+ MLB PAs with an OBP of over .350. That's a good sample size. I hate to admit it, too, though.
  20. Bwahahaha. That was a sweet chest save by Bay out there.
