Cubs all-time record in playoff games: 3-11 in postseason series 25-44 in playoff games Lost six straight playoff games Lost seven straight championship-deciding games (pennant or WS). Coin-flip my pasty white bum.
It's worth pointing out that almost all of the White Sox fan base is inside Chicago, while a good chunk of the Cubs' is not, and if you aren't a Chicago-based Cubs fan, you probably don't care about the White Sox.
what planet are you from a The one where a fluke bad three games in a bad playoff format don't ruin the best Cubs season of my lifetime. You are welcome to emigrate here.
"Also, the untuck 'em celebration is pretty much the lamest thing I have ever seen." Singing a song that predicts a victory that already happened? I'm happy for the Brewers. It'd been a long time for them, many of their fans probably feel like I did in 1998.
we've taken a vote, you're no longer in charge of your feelings Duly noted. Could you please remove my affection for foods that are bad for me and nerdy hobbies? sorry, we're currently not doing what's in the best interest for those we single out I was going to get upset about that, but apparently I can't... :beg:

Anyone who has posted 4000 times on a topic is emotionally invested in it. Not this time, I learned my lesson in 2007 and 2003. then you better just shrug your shoulders and go "ehh, it was a crapshoot anyways" if we win the world series. you're not allowed to celebrate. Why? I have the right to decide how I will feel about things, I would think.
It'd be different if this were football or hockey or basketball, and the best team had a right to expect to win. Even if the Cubs were 2:1 favorites in both rounds (and nobody should be that big of a favorite in a baseball series), they'd still be favored to not make it to the World Series. Face it: The odds are that the Cubs will lose in the national league playoffs. No reason to be disappointed if what the odds say should happen happens.
Sorry, I've been through enough playoff losses that I refuse to be letdown if they lose. The Cubs were the best team in the National League, they've proved it, and I'm happy with that. It'd be cool if they won, but I refuse to be disappointed or let down if they lose.
I've used MyP2P for a long time and never gotten a virus from it. The legality has never been tested, though as people said it would probably be bad for the streamer and nothing could be done about the watchers.
the dodgers have furcal back not to mention blake and manny i am starting to believe we all might be in for a tremendous let down in a few days I remember back in 1998 when I was all excited because the Braves were 3-6 against the Cubs in the regular season. I wouldn't be a letdown for me if the Cubs lose, because I know in baseball there's a good minority of the time that the best team just doesn't win.
If we are going 4-man, it doesn't matter who is 2 and who is 3, you are getting one guaranteed start each. I don't mind giving Zambrano the start at Wrigley between the two.
What if he's still perfect through five? The novelty has worn off. If he goes for one of those no-hit thingies again, he's just an attention-hogging jerk.
