People said the same thing about Matt Murton. Murton got traded because the Cubs also offered Gallagher in the deal. The point is he had value to the A's. It's not like Hendry said, ok I'll do the trade, but only on the condition that you take Murton off my hands. We don't know what his value was and he could have been a throw in. Comparing the Marquis situation with the Murton situation doesn't make much sense. The point is that the Murton haters(who were admittedly a weird bunch) said that nobody wanted Murton, that's why he was still in AAA. Now you're saying the same thing, that the only reason Marquis is on the team is because nobody wants him. You have next to nothing to back this up. Marquis is still here because no team wants him and his contract. Any team would take Murton and his contract. I wouldn't take Murton and his contract.

God. Can you imagine if Rich Hill was as good in the majors as he was in AAA? Is there any update on this guy? We wouldn't even have to worry about Marquis.
