Two starters for SLU may be suspended for all or part of the season for alleged sexual assault. One is Mitchell, their best player, although its possible he plays the second semester. This was supposed to be their best season in decades.

.800 ops would be 10th in baseball right now, 12th last year. so average is the wrong word, but its not real special.

Your suggestion is to trade a 20 year old, playing a premium position, hitting about .310 over his first 200 ABs? Because, of Lee? Lee is no where near the prospect Castro is. I understand Castro flew a bit under the radar, but the odds of him being as good are not good. The more interesting road block is going to be if Ramirez resigns and Vitters bat becomes ready for the majors. What do you do? The obvious solution is to put Vitters in LF, however, Money Bags is currently roaming over there and is not likely to be moved. Move Vitters to 1B? Trade him? Where do I say I want to trade Castro now? Young, .800 OPSing SS's are extremely valuable. If we have 2 of them at the major league level, dont just move one to 2nd. Get fair value and fill a need elsewhere. I don't think that Lee ever will be an .800 OPS player. thats true, and he's only 6 months younger than castro. we may expect something like Elvis Andrus with a little more pop? an .800 ops at 2b is pretty average.

what will castro (likely) be earning in 2013 and 2014? just seems like a waste to have him play 2nd. trade him for a need if Lee is producing as expected.

Lots of them don't wear cups when they bat. Lots of OFers don't wear one period. Adrian Beltre got drilled in the nuts fielding a screamer at 3B like last year or two years ago or something. you would be insane to play infield without one. outfield, i could see. -
In regards to OSU/UM, I don't think its fair to put a team in the west, but force them to play a powerhouse in the east every year. Make the division along IL/IN border and the talent level should be close enough.

I really dont see the value of just adding Nebraska, especially to the BTNetwork. They potentially could add the shared revenue of some bowl games i guess, but not many TV sets for the network, and Nebraska will be a loss in basketball revenue sharing. If Delaney's plan stops here, then it is a failure, imo. If Nebraska helps get ND or Texas, then thats different. If the B10 gets to 14 or 16 teams, how the heck do they show all the damn games?

Erik, theres really no coming back from listing ISU as a viable option. The other ISU makes as much sense. How about KU becoming the ND of basketball? They could schedule as they pleased. They would have to have multiple Tv deals, a few games on CBS, ESPN, etc to make financial sense. In other sports they could sign up with the MWC or whoever.

i dont see why they would. it looks to be really just kansas getting screwed, and the texas schools maybe flying a little farther east or west than they used to. lol at the sec president saying "the sec is what the other conferences are striving to be."

he even has wood's ill-conceived facial hair and prior's floppy ears this might honestly be proof that god hates cubs fans of all the pitching phenoms they could have used for comparison, all the media talks about is prior and wood. nice gut punch for cub fans. ankiel was younger, yet i didnt hear him mentioned. nor gooden. i dont remember a bunch of hoopla for wood, and i was in bloomington, il at the time.
