    The no call at the end of regulation was iffy. I mean the ball was just out of his hand but then he got absolutely murdered. On the other hand KU could just count on getting the call on any drive to the lane.

    i've got the rise of the apes movie loaded and ready just in case. whats everyones opinion on bertrand's success? doesnt seem he shoots threes too often, maybe teams will lay off him and make him shoot 20% out there like Paul. ETA looked it up holy crap bertrand 2pt FG 48/78 3pt FG 0/2

    Did Brandon Paul even play against Richmond? This team iwould be 10th in B10 without Leonard. With him, maybe 7th.

    From blackshoediaries: So now the story is if those guys didn't go to the cops Joe had no reason to think he should have. yeah, there is a lot of really pathetic stuff over there. i'm confident my friend is reading it. the best thing my friend has said so far is that paterno getting fired has shaken his belief in due process and the american jury system. the best part? he's a licensed attorney. Its significant that GA McQueary's dad is a doctor. If he is a physician than he is (at least in IL or MO) mandated by law to go to the police if child endangerment is even suspected, even if the victim isn't his patient. The law doesnt say "go report it to someone important in town."

    Well according to Paul Posluszny (2003-2006) this morning he said Sandusky was still routinely on campus during his career. And of course those were the 4 years following the 2002 allegations. Could have sworn I had read that Sandusky was still using PSU's facilities up until about 2 weeks ago. yeah he was using the weight room or something. Its a huge campus, probably a few weight rooms. I guess what I really wonder is when the last time JoePa saw/talked to Sandusky. Is it plausible that he didnt realize Sandusky was on campus?

    I'm only on pg 9 of the thread, but have a question. Has anyone heard what Sandusky's presence on campus the last few years was? Its a bit different if he is having lunch and watching film with the coaching staff every week, vs letting himself in to walk on the indoor track or something once in a while. Maybe this is a minor point to some but if JoePa or the administration was seeing Sandusky on campus routinely or not seems significant to me.

    You're allowed to slide into someone, you're not allowed to reach to push/grab the defender. his slide into Castro this year was worse.

    It seems all Cardinal fans feel the need to try and slam cub fans more than just enjoy their world series runs. Sad group of people. This describes my entire office, and the STL area in general. It just doesnt make any sense. Are White Sox fans like this?

    Is Soriano's arm still considered elite? Fenway would be good for him, I would think he could limit some doubles and his terrible routes would be less of a problem.

    no. it's stupid that it even gets brought up. if you're going to hand-wring about josh hamilton not being kept by the cubs in the rule 5 draft then you mineaswell just bitch about every awesome player that we passed on in the amateur draft and international free agency. Didnt we have a glut of (probably mediocre) OFers at the time, too? Was that "mineaswell" sarcastic? It doesn't even matter. The guy was 25, out of baseball for 3 years, and not playing all that well in A ball, albeit in a small sample. Do you realize how small the odds were that he'd be able to hit major league pitching and stick on the 25 man roster all year? i'm not disagreeing with you. just made it less likely we could "take a flyer". it wasnt too long ago that we rule 5 drafted some pitcher and tried to hide him in the pen.

    Yeah, I live in downtown Milwaukee. The problem is that things are just so insular here. If you wear team apparel for anyone but a Wisconsin team you get stares and insults. I've had people slow down to yell f*ck Purdue as they drive by me when I'm wearing Purdue gear. It's really strange because the people up here are generally nice. Try wearing Cubs gear in St Louis. I guess the difference is they dont care about the other sports. Illini gear is well received, for instance.
