our offense really relies on the bigs handling the ball around the 3 point line. its one thing if they are spotting up wide open, but tizzy just had 2 or 3 bad turnovers that werent his fault.

i did think we got away with mugging turner a few times. we should be doing everything to wear him out.

griffey doesnt always look comfortable out there, but there have been a few times when he was put on the spot and came through with either a bucket or a block/good defensive play. nice knowing you, dominique.

It was far from a hail mary. He was half-way between the halfcourt line and the 3 point line with nobody around him. He probably makes it 15-20% of the time. You play a shred of defense and that shot becomes 2%. absolutely. every kid who has ever had free time in a gym has simulated that exact play, and i bet turner has attempted similar shots hundreds of times. if they would have just made him cross over or use his left hand the % drops way down. the replay clearly shows that michigan coaches were not giving any indication that their players were doing anything they didnt like. stupid utep

I was at a bar with no sound during the game. What happened with Keller? I know they showed him ignoring Weber, and then moping on the sidelines, but I couldn't tell what went down. thats about it as far as i know. i dont think he got back in the game. i always thought he was a marginal defender, but lately he's been chucking stupid threes whenever he gets a chance. ever since he hit that game winner a while back.

i expected more people shredding michigans defense on that last play. whats the over/under on keller's minutes from here on out?

Yeah he is the Dusty Baker of college basketball. Leonard is the best big man to come into the program since Cook and will struggle to get tick. Weber really frustrates me. I don't want Leonard playing thirty minutes a game but he should get more time than Griffey got this season. I'd like to see a starting five next year of: McCamey, Richardson, Richmond, Griffey, and Tisdale. With a bench of: Cole, Leonard, Davis, Paul, Bertrand, Head I don't think Crandall is getting much time at all next year. Leonard's going to struggle to get playing time because he's a freshman big man, and they usually struggle making the jump. That and there'll be 2 seniors who started the previous 2 seasons ahead of him. I think this is the wrong season to be complaining that Weber won't play young guys. He pushed Griffey ahead of the senior Keller on the depth chart. He started the year with 2 freshman in the backcourt, and DJ has been there all season. Paul started the first half and got out of control, and hasn't really earned his minutes back, though it does seem he's been getting increased minutes of late. The only complaints I have with minutes this year is Griffey should be getting more in the hopes of developing more. That and I wish Jeff Jordan would quit again this offseason. agreed, but i would add that cole has played way too many minutes.

If this the play I remember, both players were moving towards the basket, and the offensive player initiated contact with the shoulder. I like the no call in those in those situations, but it is usually called. It did seem like we had an unusual amount of blocks for as few fouls that were called. And got the benefit of the doubt a lot. If Michigan had shot better, I think this team would have responded with some more intense play. They do play up or down to their competition which Js frustrating.

On the subject of flopping- does anyone remember when Bobby Hurley pancaked himself into a screen from a guy 4 times his size? I can't recall if there was a foul given, but it should've been on Hurley if at all. It's tough to call it on the unconscious player.
