    rough 3 weeks in november with giants/jets/new england all on the road. hopefully they're healthy during that stretch, which should be tougher than the NFC playoffs.

    who is in CF with this bench? lofton might be better than the starter! :cry: i dont know anything about derosa, but fontenot may be able to play those positions and cost much less. edit: derosa can start on my team 300/360/460

    clutch effort last night in kc. redman's era was 243.0 for the outing, which had me wondering if that was the worst outing ever? i guess era's = infinity has already been done. definitely an all league periformance anyway.

    unfortunately i have to play 2 and sit one of the following Ahman Green, who is questionable against the lions Kevin Jones vs the packers Deangelo williams against Tampa i would hate to sit green, but even if he starts he may be spliting caries. williams is losing some carries to foster. jones has had a slow start, but maybe the packer d will be his chance to get things going. sitting green may be the safest due to his foot injury, but i would appreciate any other feedback

    how can i find this information? if they show the bears game in columbia, i'm guessing KC might get it too. http://www.tvguide.com/listings is a pretty good place to go for customized tv listings, and should tell you what game you'll get on Sunday. Make sure you choose to Edit Location though, and it will ask you for your zip code and cable provider. EDIT: Hahaha...it figures...it shows "Teams TBA" on mine... it says bears at vikes on fox here, but the cbs game says TBA. i wonder if they'll actually show two games at the same time. might not get much done that day.

    would murton and itzuris and a couple of arms at the high A to AA level do it? then i would be all over it. the reds GM might be a little hesitant to deal a big name after getting robbed in his last deal. if it takes more than that, its not really worth the upgrade imo. that being said, would dunn be any worse in RF? i though he had a plus arm?

    Goony, I agree with your sentiments, as much of his OBP is BA driven, and he's getting slower with age. However, would a 1 year rental, for the cost of slightly more than we paid Fla be too much, if we also signed Soriano at 2B and moved Jones to CF? We'd have a CF with above average SLG, and 2B with above average SLG as well. Would a 1-2 with Murton & Ichiro get on base enough in front of Lee-Ramirez-Soriano-Barrett-Jones to work well enough? With that lineup, there'd be times I'd bat the Pitcher 8th (Z, etc) in front of Izturis. how much more would andruw jones cost? that would give some pop in the OF, just in an unusual spot. we could keep jjones in RF and have a theriot/fontenot type at 2b. murton could hit 6th or 2nd with a new manager, and 2b could leadoff.

    Agreed. Also, for the past 2 years his avg has been about .260(.385 obp in 2005 and 356 obp this year) and def a little shy from .270 which pecota projects. IMO, Edmonds shouldn't even be an option. He is the epitome of anti-Cub. i don't understand what "anti-cub"means. and i also don't understand how he won't be much better than pierre. If you don't understand what anti-cub means I don't know what to tell you. okay, so you don't know what it means either, i'm glad we got that settled. It means he hates the Cubs, if you honestly didn't know what that meant. i'm pretty sure he could forget any hate with a big contract. same goes for kline.

    It'd be tough to top losing on a sac fly that scores a runner from second. i was always thinking of that game when we got skunked by the marlins as nolasco shut us out and had a homer. i assume juan went 0-5 with ground outs to complete the irony
