  1. blank screen now. so im clear, the first inning was pitched by a MiL rookie?
  2. Yovani Gallardo gave up 5 runs in the first inning, including Jones' 3-R HR. i was hoping that was a lefty, since pie had 2 hits, too.
  3. Whatd he do now? He singled and later scored on Ward's double. Earlier, he hit a 3-run homer who was pitching for that one?
  4. Whatd he do now? line drive single, off a LEFTY!!
  5. The problem is that Miller outpitched Guzman last year and is outpitching Guzman so far in Spring Training. I think we are all a little too concerned about velocity or youth. Miller hasn't outpitched Guzman. He has, however, outlucked him. Guzman has a better WHIP, opponent's batting average, opponent's OBP, and opponent's SLG. Miller has just managed to leave runners on base which isn't going to hold up consisntently. Neither of them have been great though. Would be nice to see Prior get back on track before the end of spring training... this would be better if you included the stats..... /i'm too lazy to look them up
  6. I did. Come on ODU! Me too. In fact, if ODU wins that, and the rest of the games stand as is, I'll be perfect through the first two batches of games... :D Same here, nothing to be excited about yet, but a lot better than last year so far when I threw my bracket out on the first weekend. (no joke, 3 of my 4 final four teams lost in the first weekend.) how does that happen? kansas, ......., ........ .
  7. they're starting to heat up, relatively
  8. i wanted to pick ODU but i didnt because earlier in the year i saw Butler in the top 25 and was like...if that small school can be ranked they must be really good then. so i already had my mind made up. i was kinda pissed they drew ODU. thats exactly what happened to me. i was ready to pick ODU to do some upset damage, but not now against butler.
  9. anyone pick butler to get upset by ODU?
  10. WSU gettting beat would really hurt my bracket... Oral Bob looking good so far
  11. my pool has the points determined by round x seed, so upsets really payoff, if picked. unfortunately i didnt pick many at all this year, other than longhorns in final four
  12. 3-0 here. still, thats just 3 favorites that won.
  13. have people been able to open 2 MMOD windows?? if so, how
  14. this is great, if you like watching choppy commercials
  15. great, i'm at 98,000
  16. slate article, on who we shouldnt be rooting for http://www.slate.com/id/2161810
  17. For this one, it really depends on who you think will win the game. If IU can slow it down sufficiently, that may be possible. I will let you know-with similar offensive strategies last year from both squads, those 2 teams combined for 170 points last year. I'm leaning to the two teams having more than 142 tonight, but I'm not completely sure. i'm leaving for vegas tonite. last year, i was 8/8. i havent watched as much this year, but hopefully i have similar luck this time.
  18. do you have to be old to get in with the ticket, or just to buy it?
  19. Forgot to add: FIELDING Pickoffs: Miller (Young at 1st base). thats a 4.5 ERA if my math is right, I noticed that after Danny posted. I copied that right from Gamecast. still not a bad outing, he was up against the ML lineup
  20. Forgot to add: FIELDING Pickoffs: Miller (Young at 1st base). thats a 4.5 ERA if my math is right,
  21. In any one game, no. But over the course of a season in which an ace could theoretically start 35-36 times if he goes every 5 days, regardless of off days, perhaps. Personally I'd rather see the Cubs keep Zambrano on normal rest early, but limit his pitch count early as well. I don't want them thinking 130 pitches would be fine since he's getting a little extra rest anyway. i believe dusty actually said that when he was in chicago, without giving an actual number, when referring to someones 120+ pitch outing.
  22. can you do a league without the daily lineup changes?
  23. i'm assuming this windbag is plesac? rambling, rambling
  24. through the 5 hole of the 3b coach, thats embarrassing. ground out to 1st, one out
