cowherd (i'm not a fan) was saying friday that the big east is always overrated. surprised me with this stat: only 6 final four teams in the last 20 years from BE. doesnt seem like that could be right.

well depth would absolutely be an advangtage. i cant imagine playing tomorrow. i remember as a high schooler, with 32 min games, i hated back to back games. i even hated practice the next day.

They are, but you have to keep ISU at bay. After all, a good chunk of their fans believe that they should be in the Big 12. wait, iowa state is in the big 12? since when? The ISU I was talking about was Illinois State. Probably should've made that clearer when I was responding to a post regarding an Iowa school. Illinois St. fans are delusional though. you were right either way. surprisingly, some Iowa State fans actually still think they should be in the big 12. yeah thats what i was going for there. i've never really met a fan of illinois state, and i lived in B-N for 4 years. i figured flames post was in regard to an UNI/IaState rivalry.

was alderson in charge of giving out MLB's suspensions? seems like the cubs always got longer suspensions than the norm.

To stay healthy? Personally, I'm not prepared to go past that assuption (taking in to account the previous seasons). The easiest way back for him would probably be a bullpen role for at least one season, but I doubt he's willing to go that route - for now. You don't think he'd pitch out of the BP for year? I'm not so sure. I think he would, especially if it's for a partial season after spending the first part of the season rehabbing. He may not want to become a reliever permanently, but I think he would for now while working his way back. And if he wants to get paid he'd really have no choice if that's what his team tells him to do.he took a minor league deal, right? he'll do whatever gets him in the bigs.
