    what were the details of the cubs/marlins 2004 hurricane schedule fiasco? i remember that sucked pretty hard, worse than playing at any non-neutral neutral site would have.

    Huh? What? You say that they could have just decided this two or three days ago because pretty much everyone knew Ike was going to drill Houston and in all likelihood the city wasn't going to be in any condition to host a couple of baseball games today and Monday, and that you don't know what the heck you are talking about? Shocking. Please explain how anyone whatsoever has been prejudiced by this decision or its timing. I'll wait for your response. Anyone who went to Houston thinking the Cubs and Astros would get the games in, for starters. well we knew someone would get screwed. it just turned out, for whatever reason, it wasnt the cubs. playoff races aside, its likely MP could've sold more tix if the decision was made during the day on saturday.

    some airport will open at 11am, bud and drayton will expect cubs there for 105 first pitch or forfeit.

    question: what 40 man roster problems will there be if the Iowa Cubs play a game or two after the season, but before the playoffs? those players should make themselves available!

    i imagine forfeiting meaningful games right before the playoffs might be a distraction. prolly going to be some some controversy, undesirable media attention. ideally they should've had single games fri-sun at a neutral site.

    mclane's stall tactics may end up helping his team, but if he was only worried about the gate he would have them play at miller already. cub fans could fill up most of the park with a little notice on a weekend.

    hrabosky's a class act no doubt. he has toned down his anti-cub ness on the air the last few seasons. maybe because the cubs have been better the last 2 years, i dunno.
