  1. Dusty should be fired simply for starting Bynum.
  2. That's what we get for having Bynum in the line-up.
  3. OMFK......no Murton or Cedeno! Our offense sucks so we try to get it started by taking 2 of the three best hitters this season out of the line-up. Sweet googily-moogly! Losing streak hits four tonight, fellas!
  4. Well when your lead off hitter is on 4 times in a game and he cant score, something is seriously wrong in the 3 and 4 slots in your order. .205 is ridiculous. But one of those times, the lead-off hitter got himself picked off second base.
  5. Very important typo there Vance. I'll fix...
  6. Thats mature. Well, if food poisoning is no big deal, like has been implied, it shouldn't be much to worry about it anyway. What's a little stomach ache. It's not like I wished anything that a non-wimp couldn't handle.
  7. He said he feels about 60% right now. He messed up his back. Maybe if he quit hitting so many homeruns his back wouldn't hurt so much and Cub fans would think he's classier. Maybe if Cub pitchers would allow a few more home runs, Derrek Lee wouldn't be involved in collisions at first base that disable him for two months. Your humor here has run it's course.
  8. But the baserunning, Vance. Think of the baserunning. After watching Jacque Jones run the bases, we would be better off with Moises in RF.
  9. Well, trading Zambrano raises another question. Are we trading him to improve the club for a run this year or one next year? If we've already given up on the season, there are other players I trade ahead of Zambrano, for example Maddux, Wood (once he proves he's healthy), Walker, Hairston, Pierre, and Williamson.
  10. I think this team has plenty of heart...yada yada yada...etc. They just aren't very good.
  11. What's the over and under on the length of this current losing streak. I'll set it at 5. I'm taking the over.
  12. But what are the odds that Hendry has swung that deal? With Casey out, I'm thinking not too likely. If Wilson was still sitting behind Casey, it could be more likely. The Pirates would be open to moving Wilson. His contract is up after this year, and he isn't likely to be retained. The Pirates likely have little delusions of contention, so he's the perfect player to be moved. The main questions for the Pirates would be who will man first until Casey returns and whether they can get more value by waiting and dealing him at the deadline.
  13. I bet we could still get Abreu for Zambrano. I'd want more than that, and we might could get it. I'm not saying I'd do that deal, but if I knew I could get a healthy and effective Wood, Prior, and Miller into the rotation by June 15...then I would be tempted to see if the Phillies would give Abreu and Hamels for him.
  14. If that deal is for Craig Wilson it will be a good deal. Wilson brings RH power. He can play 1b now and platoon with Jacque when Lee returns.
  15. I think Nic might be a better hitter than most of the guys we have in Chicago.
  16. I wonder what Tim would think if the re-cap read, we suck...gave up a bunch of runs...make up how.
  17. you were at the game Vance? no, but I can channel myself.
  18. Re-cap will wait until the morning. I'm too pissed off to write it tonight.
  19. They weren't booing, they were longing for the return of Alou.
  20. Considering the production we had in LF in 2005 and the prodcution from RF this season, that is why I miss Moises. We would be a much, much better team with him.
