  1. Good news for you, Raw. Bush is signed and should be practicing by Monday. I think I may drive over and watch the Saints practice on Tuesday, myself.
  2. How long is Smith out though? I've read 2-3 weeks. I don't know if that's 2-3 weeks of regular season or training camp, though.
  3. Another injury occured in Cowboys camp. Marcus Spears suffered torn cartiledge in his knee and will have surgery in Dallas on Monday.
  4. I won't be surprised if Hendry does the opposite of the best decisions for the Cubs long term future.
  5. The Team Formerly Known as Around the Joe Horn selects Jake Delhomme, QB Carolina Panthers.
  6. If the Rangers were to include Kinsler in a deal for Tejada they could move Young back to second and put Tejada at short. That would be one potent offense. They may not be able to pitch, but they would club a lot of teams to death.
  7. ewwww. That reminds me of a story Mark Grace once told about Maddux....
  8. I would like to see us sign Gurriel. We'll be shopping for a second baseman this winter, so it could happen. But if he wants to play for the Yankees...hmmm.
  9. I'll be back from time to time as well. You've done an excellent job over there.
  10. Two out... Walk Pujols plz... or better yet, plunk him.
  11. Yeah, pretty much. To put it another way. If LaRussa and Guillen were placed in a cage and forced to fight to the death, who would you want to come out alive? The cage.
  12. If we do trade him, I hope it's not to the Mets! [-( Can't stand them, and don't want to help them. On the other hand, if he's degressed a bit, he might hurt the Mets more than help them. Trade him to the Padres, Jim. Don't help out the Dodgers, Giants, or Mets! Or Yankees! Trade him for the best package. So what if he helps the Mets, Dodgers, Giants, whoever....help the Cubs please!
  13. Isn't this like asking which you'd rather happen a hot iron in the bunghole or a stomping to the crotch?
  14. So, if we throw at a Cardinal, since Dusty is already ejected, who gets ejected?
  15. I have a reputation at Cards Talk for being "not so friendly" to Cards fans here. But, then again I was welcomed quite nicely at Gateway. Different crowd, I guess.
  16. If I read lips correctly, Aramis told Looper, "I'm going to beat your ass."
  17. I thought it was because maybe you hate the Angels, A's or Rangers?
  18. If we can get a "Go Mariners" thread started, we'll cover the entire AL West.
  19. Hill has only one pitch and that's it. His fastball and change are terrible. If you ask me, he has no future on this team. Hill has decent velocity on his fastball but not a whole lot of movement which makes his location even more important. They were saying his location was excellent at Iowa, but he couldn't keep the ball down or get ahead in the count at all last night. How many times have heard this already? At a certain point you just have to say that his stuff in AAA doesn't translate to the MLB level. But it's too early to determine that. He needs time to see if he can make the adjustment, and not to be yo-yoed back and forth. This season is a lost season. There's no reason Hill shouldn't be given a chance to take the mound every fifth day. He may make the adjustment, he may not. I'm not certain either way. What I am certain is that we haven't seen enough of him to make the call.
