    Russell has finally developed into the player he was hyped to be coming out of high school. He's a surefire first-rounder now. I wonder where he'll end up. LSU needs to add another TD right after the half. Furthermore, the defense needs to step it up.

    The Yankees would probably be interested in Blaylock from Texas and they are in need of pitching- Cubs get: Arod+Pavano Rangers get:Marshall+Mateo+Gallagher? Yankees get Blaylock+Eyre as a cub fan i would be all over that. i dont see the other teams agreeing to this though. A more realistic deal would probably be Cubs: Arod + Pavano Rangers get: Veal + Prior Yankees get: Blalock + Eyre + Marshall

    I suggest you take Jeff Weaver in the first round. I don't know. Suppan might be a better first pick.

    If Prior is healthy and effective, the Cubs could easily match those numbers. Zambrano was right there with the number one starters, Prior if he finds himself should be in the 3.85 range. I'm confident Lilly and Hill could post 4.33 and 4.85 ERA's and as bad as Marquis might be, 6.09 is right at his level. The lynch pen, though, is Prior. If he stinks or if he can't pitch, then someone is really going to have to step it up.

    Now that hurts. Why do I feel like the guy in the GEICO commercial? Well, I'll be 50 in April, and the guy who asked about OPS is in his late 60s. The guy that said I was "carrying on" about on-base percentage claimed to be a Cubs fan for 60 years. Were these questions sent to you via telegraph? :lmao:

    I bet someone could get a bookie to give a line on Cotts winning the WS MVP. My guess is, we could get 20,000 to 1 odds on it too.

    I edited that guy's mailbag submission to properly reflect the things he contained that were relevant to HOF voting. Greg Maddux doesn't like to sign autographs. He might not get Carrie Muskat's vote. I wouldn't say Maddux doesn't like to sign. He just signs very few when he does sign.

    If I remember correctly, Joe West was the umpire and he called Dawson out on a called strike three. Dawson questioned the call, and West said something to Dawson. Whatever it was, it set Dawson off. Dawson began screaming at West and West ejected him. Dawson then went to the dugout and pulled some bats out of the rack and threw them on the field. West pulled out a pad and began to count the bats. Dawson then shouted something at West and then emptied the bat racks on the field. I think that's how it went down.
