  1. Every game he's been in, he's started. Why only 3 IP?
  2. \ Quite simple actually. Why pitch a full season for 17M when someone will pay you the same to pitch 1/2 a season? Call him that mid-season pickup and run for the play-offs. you are stating the obvious. i keep hearing specifically the 22nd mentioned for clemens and i'm wondering how that is any different than june 23rd or august 17th or september 2nd or april 11th or may 30th and so on. the only deadline i'm aware of is, IIRC, that you cant resign with the same club if arb is declined until sometime in may. it may just be something as simple as when summer vacation starts for his kids or someting, i dont know. The arby re-sign deadline no longer exists. Clemens can sign with anyone he wants at the time of his choosing.
  3. Granted, it's a small sample size, but Angel is having a nice little run there. Are they using him out of the bullpen?
  4. This Ain't Brain Surgery by Larry Dierker
  5. Maybe the Cubs could get Drew on a one year 18 million deal and he hits free agency again next season.
  6. I'm surprised SteakGrowsOnDimitri and YoureGettingADelmon didn't make an appearance.
  7. Boston apparently has concerns about Drew's shoulder holding up over the life of the contract and they want to insert language to protect themselves if that shoulder proves to be a problem. Boras has said the shoulder is fine and there is no need for such language. i'm not sure how this will be resolved. At first it seemed no big deal, but it's now appearing it could be a bigger deal that first believed.
  8. Yes. And I think you can contact them with updates to your information.
  9. However many people do no renew, that is how many are available. Right, but what I meant was how many season ticket holders do the Cubs allow there to be? As in, in a sold out game, how many people there are season ticket holders? I guess I could've worded that better. Season ticket holders are approximately half of the overall capacity. I believe it's just over 20,000. That's the number I've heard. The season ticket capacity is 20,000. Of course, I'm waiting for them to add the premium dugout box and bullpen box seats to the season ticket inventory any year now.
  10. Justin Verlander, Jake Peavy, and Jered Weaver are going to have some arm problems as well. Thansk, Dr. Nick http://www.rob-clarkson.com/duff-brewery/nickriviera/01.gif
  11. Is it appropriate to pimp my Mavs in a Bulls thread?
  12. I am in complete concurrence with you. While neither would be fun, I'd much rather have a bruised jaw than an intrascrotal hematoma. Just my two cents. I'm in agreement here. Bruised nuts are no laughing matter. I'll take a punch to the face over getting hit in the nuts by just about anything. I think I might let a car run over my foot over getting hit in the nuts.
  13. Saw this poll on another site, and unbelievably it's a lot closer than I thought it should be. You can look at the player's stats and qualifications at baseball-reference.com or baseballhalloffame.org. Feel free to make your case. I'd just like to compare the results here to those elsewhere.
  14. That's funny Vance because that's how I view the SEC and Big 10. Plus, Thanks to Delaney (Big 10 Commish) we will NEVER have a playoff because he's too happy with the Rose Bowl the way it's set up now. But to a man, most of the big name coaches in the SEC are firmly in favor of a playoff. I know Miles, Myer, and Tubberville are for certain.
  15. A lot of people hate the spoiled rich kid who doesn't deserve all the perks of being a spoiled rich kid. ND is the spoiled rich kid of college football.
  16. Actually if the Buckeyes lose, then we'll have had the immensely enjoyable trifecta of Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State losses in BCS bowl games. seconded. If only Miami and F$U had lost as well... As opposed to USC winning, which is good? I'm neither here nor there when it comes to USC. PSU rarely plays them, so I really don't care about them. If only the same applied to ND with fans of teams that never play them... :daydreams: Theres plenty other reason to hate ND without playing them. Actually, I love ND when my team gets to play them.
  17. According to MLB.com, this is a minor league deal. Link.
  18. At 300 a year, I'll be there in about 9-10 years.
  19. After missing out on trying to land Loretta, it looks like the Rangers have re-upped with Jerry Hairston. Link.
  20. He's probably better than any of the other options.
