    So, any guess to the final AP and Coach's Poll Top 10. I thought OSU could hold on to the #2 spot with a loss, but not this kind of loss. I'd probably rank the top five: 1 Florida 2. Boise State 3. LSU 4. USC 5. Ohio State

    If Florida wins, I guess I can take solace that LSU's only losses were to the National Champion and the team that beat the national champion.

    I normally don't like Florida, but this would validate the SEC as a top conference. Go Gators.

    Of course, the physical toll of an NFL season is likely greater than that of baseball. He might prefer throwing pitches than taking a hit from an NFL safety as he tries to catch a ball thrown over the middle in zone coverage.

    I already have DirectTV, so the exclusivity wouldn't bother me. If I can suddenly get all the Saturday game of the weeks with no blackout restrictions I may need a new pair of pants.

    He may feel that he made the post season roster; Marquis didn't. He thinks that means he's worth 3 extra million per and an extra year more than Marquis.

    I think I got the early bird price of aroun $150 for the season.

    His blank ballot is going to hurt other hopefuls such as Dawson, Rice, Smith, or Blyleven more than it will Cal or Gwynn. While he may not have voted for those guys either way, his form of protest has more damage to those players to whom every vote counts. While Ripken and Gwynn are no doubt HOFers, there's been many no-doubt HOFers that weren't unanimous. I think we should be angrier at whoever left Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron or Ted Williams off their ballots than the people who don't vote Ripken or Gwynn on the first time.

    The AP is not contractually obligated. They could vote Boise State national champions. The coaches poll is obligated to vote the winner of this game the national champ. In 2003, that's how the split championship happened.
