  1. Actually, you're up eleven. Unless Graham kicks like 6 FG's you should be the winner.
  2. I don't want Marquis to take #21 and I wish the Cubs would advise him to choose another number. However, Marquis posts a 6.05 ERA while making 7million/per that's going to be my reason to not like him, not his choice of numbers.
  3. Interception by Watkins puts this one on ice and guarantees the Cowboys a spot in the playoffs.
  4. This sucks. A suck-ass pitcher will get to wear the number of a living legend. I'm not happy.
  5. Big stop by Dallas there! This NFL network broadcast is horrible!
  6. I like the TD's from Romo...but stop throwing them to TO! :x
  7. Jae Kuk Ryu is still listed as wearing No. 20. Subject to change at any time, certainly, but No. 20 Ryu and No. 17 Pie is what the roster says at present. Yeah, I saw that too. Pie shouldn't be #17, that was only good for Gracie. (Bobby Hill sucked in it.) I believe he wears #22? in the minors, but in the winter leagues he wore #20 from pictures I've seen. In his time in the minors, he's worn #15 and #20. The Cubs better retire Sammy's number!! The Cubs should retire #21 before #31.
  8. I might try to get some free tix to the Independence Bowl again this year.
  9. Well, you wouldn't want to lose by giving up so many points when ND loses.
  10. I made LSU beating ND my highest point total! :)
  11. While I hate using these, the only response I have is
  12. Dallas (-3) over ATLANTA CHICAGO (-13.5) over Tampa Bay Pittsburgh (-2.5) over CAROLINA GREEN BAY (-5) over Detroit BALTIMORE (-11) over Cleveland Jacksonville (-3.5) over TENNESSEE NY Jets (+3.5) over MINNESOTA NEW ENGLAND (-11) over Houston Washington (+10) over NEW ORLEANS Miami (+1) over BUFFALO Denver (-2.5) over ARIZONA St. Louis (+1) over OAKLAND NY GIANTS (-5.5) over Philadelphia SAN DIEGO (-9) over Kansas City Cincinnati (+3) over INDIANAPOLIS
  13. I agree. Furthermore, the Airing of Grievances Thread cannot begin until 12:01 Dec 23rd. The other threads can begin whenever. I nominate Jon to go to Naperville to wrestle Tim.
  14. My response to the initial post in this thread, "Awwww HELL NO!"
  15. Bruuuucccce! (doing my very best impersonation of "Nooooorrrrrmmmm!" by the cast of Cheers)
  16. So Bruce, any idea to who they may be looking at for this Asst. GM position?
  17. Depodesta would be great in that role. A Hendry-Depodesta tandem could balance the scouting with a statistical mindset. If the two could forge a common ground, I think it would be a great combination.
  18. Would they bite on quantity over quality in exchange for Teixeira? My guess is it would take one hellova package for Tex which would have to be quality.
  19. .276 .366 .526 .247 .306 .394 I wouldn't hire you to be a GM. I wouldn't want to be a GM :D Watch how fast everyone sours on Church if he is traded for. Doesn't it sound odd that a team that needs good OF'ers is looking to deal Church, even before the acquired Snell...... My point about Jones is that for every plus, Church makes some bonehead moves in the outfield and on the bases.... And what about the point about Pagan? He's much worse and can't even be considered a 4th OF. I would rather keep Guzman, Marmol, or Marshall then trade them for Church....and therefore rather have Pagan then Church.... I'd easily trade any of those three in a deal for Church, and then toss in Pagan as well. Guzman, Marshall, and Marmol may have value, but not as much as Church would bring to the team.
  20. I have no interest in Klesko whatsoever. He's done.
  21. We have a glut of bullpen arms as it is. The Rangers, if they trade Otsuka, will likely be in the market for quality starters. We don't have any of those to spare.
  22. Is this the theory of how Joe Morgan got a job announcing? Yes. And it is why Morgan says he can't learn anything about baseball from people who never played.
  23. Actually, I can believe he made the argument. I've just surprised he didn't find a way to mention Bellhorn, Grieve, and Choi in that post.
  24. He's too valuable as a starter to be converted to closer.
