  1. Well, if you can get a hold of any left-over Dora the explorer dolls, we can talk.
  2. I had hoped we could get him for a fifth, but I can live with a fourth. My guess is with Pacman in the fold, the Cowboys will go WR/RB in the first.
  3. It would be nice to get three in, but unless we start making picks for people, I doubt we make it that far.
  4. Davis works for me. Make that the Seahawks pick and let's move on.
  5. In one league someone offered me Nick Swisher for Kerry Wood when my OF is already Hamilton, Fukudome, and Burrell with Soriano on the DL. It's not a bad deal, but what made me laugh is when I rejected it, he resent the offer, but this time he re-upped by offering me Swisher and Ted Lilly for Wood.
  6. I haven't even been to brewerfan.net since I went there to read and laugh at their collapse last season. I may go back around September, but it's too early to laugh at their paranoia just yet.
  7. The Reds finally make a decent move. I still think the Dusty-factor will cancel out any benefits that Jockety brings to the team.
  8. Yeah, I don't show that one. My students usually enjoy the modernized one.
  9. With what I have left to cover in the next three weeks, I doubt it. My eighth graders are knee-deep in Romeo and Juliet and my seventh graders, well there a bit behind where I'm going to need them to be for next year.
  10. I think voting usually starts sometime in early May. I'll be all over it. With the way the Cubs have been hitting, I have no qualms voting nearly an all-Cubs ballot.
  11. I agree. Roast, you've said how good of a job you've done. You need to request the gate to the bleachers for that Saturday. We want our webkins damnit. You didn't come through and get my kid a Dora, and she wants a webkins [expletive]! I mean, look at her! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/rangers%20v%20Cubs%202007/PicsfromCarrie104.jpg She wants her webkins!
  12. May 10 vs. Arizona - 12:05 PM Buy Tickets Now > Webkinz Lil' Kinz black bear 1st 10,000 fans, age 13 and younger# Hook us up, Roast! That's right, Roast. I'm 13. Give me my Webkinz for my little girl!
  13. So, you're telling me in advance, I'm going to need a syringe to inject my bottles with booze so that the seal isn't broken? Gotcha! It's taken care of.
  14. I agree that the one move I'd consider making is for another starting pitcher. An injury to someone in the line-up could change that, however. Burnett is probably the top pitcher that could be had. I'd take a long look at Harden as well. Depending on what happens with the Dodgers, Penny and Lowe might find themselves on the block. The only problem with acquiring a starter is that the Cubs would have to unload one to make room. Marquis is still owed a nice chunk of change, and he'd be the likely one bumped. That being said, if the club is close to the playoffs, I can see us making the move, even if it means eating 7-8 million of Marquis's money. I really like the idea of Cain or Lincecum, but I think it would be a huge cost to get one of those players. A big gun that might be just the ticket could be Sabathia if the Indians continue to underperform. I have no doubt that if Cleveland is out of the race in July, they will look to move him.
  15. I vaguely remember you being optimistic about Patterson a couple of weeks ago... :-k
  16. So.... go down to the local sports bar and watch it on their EI package !! 1. What local sports bar? 2. I'm 19. Go to Hooters.
  17. If Cedeno and Pie keep this up, I'm going to run out of pants.
  18. Right now, let's not eff with this team one bit.
  19. If Murton comes through, we'll probably see Hart.
  20. I'm thinking a 46 inning game in which every pitcher gets rocked and they have to use another starter each out of the pen ruining them for the rest of the week would be an ideal outcome.
