  1. He went to Vanderbilt?
  2. When you call into a sports talk radio show you've already lost as a person.
  3. Are you over the age of 12? If so, my advice is to not wear a basketball jersey anywhere.
  4. I play real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising.
  5. The 4 other residents of Newton County and I conferred and we have decided NOT to take offense to that.
  6. Before everyone jumps on the guy has anybody stopped and asked if Pujols does, indeed, mow his lawn?
  7. So the rest of the games this season will be exclusively on Versus?
  8. All this talk about Scott Drew's shadiness is coming as a huge surprise to me after hearing nothing but great things from my parents who personally know his dad.
  9. Take the mic off the screaming NMSU fan in the crowd and the cameras off the NMSU cheerleaders.
  10. Pretty sure Warner left because he was benched after fumbling a half dozen times in one game and his replacement became a pro-bowler.
  11. Hey now, it's Fort Wayne Mad Ant. Don't deprive the city the glory.
  12. Eh, well. It was worth a shot to try to get him at a new position. Overall I've been pleased with my impressions of Kelly's recruiting so far. Care to explain why? I've been thoroughly unimpressed so far.
  13. I'd venture a guess that every athlete playing a professional sport has a heart that has been enlarged by years of playing high-level athletics.
  14. What an idiot
  15. Their grass is normal height 3 4* defensive players verbally committed to this class 1 5* 2 4* last year 1 5* 8 4* in 2008 class The problem was the coaching.
  16. I saw that, it was funny and typical of something he would say. If ND did manage to go undefeated I still think a 1 loss, Texas, OU, OSU, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, or USC would go in ahead of ND. Hell if BYU goes undefeated they will go ahead of ND too. Phil Steele's 2009 strength of schedule ratings of the teams you mentioned in order: 3. Oklahoma 14. Oklahoma State 17. USC 21. LSU 34. Florida 36. Notre Dame 39. Ohio State 40. Texas 68. Alabama 71. BYU 72. Penn State
  17. You can't find 23 teams with more talent than Notre Dame. Since preseason polls should merely be a judge of talent, I don't get the joke. Uhh yeah there are more than 23 teams with more talent than a 7-6 team that played an easy schedule last year. Sure Notre Dame has great recruiting classes but until those players prove out on the field they deserved to be so highly touted they are still mediocre players. Recruiting is like the MLB draft. You get a whole bunch of players and hope a couple turn out to be good. Sometimes that doesn't happen. Sometimes all that talent isn't coached right which very well be the case in Notre Dame. No matter how you cut it Notre Dame has done nothing in the past couple years to deserve a preseason ranking. I guess there's no sense in arguing now. One of us will be proven right as the season goes on.

  19. I have 9 1985 Bears-I was two 1988/1993* Notre Dame 6 that belong to Michael Jeffrey Jordan *-according to me
  20. They won the Big Ten tourney for the first time since '96 and only the second time ever. I would consider that a success. I said this in another thread also that I believe Phegley will be the best of the bunch. He will stick at catcher and the kid can rake with great strike zone awareness. He may never be an all-star like Outshined said but I'm confident he will be a productive major leaguer. The IU prospect I'm most excited about is Alex Dickerson, the Big Ten freshman of the year. Next year I see no way he is not a first rounder. If he was a true freshman this season, I don't believe he's going to be draft-eligible next season. My mistake, that is right thank you. Two more years of A.D. will be fun to watch.

  22. I would say that last night's performance by this Texas kid deserves to be in the discussion. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/baseball/news?slug=ap-ncaa-texas-bostoncollege&prov=ap&type=lgns
  23. OleMissCub, what can you tell me about Vanderbilt? Indiana gets to stay close to home as the #4 vs. Louisville with Middle Tennessee and Vandy. I know a lot about L'ville and a bit about MTSU and think the Hoosiers have a great shot of getting out of this regional.
  24. 16 regional hosts: Arizona State UC Irvine Cal State Fullerton Clemson East Carolina Florida Florida State Georgia Tech LSU Louisville Mississippi North Carolina Oklahoma Rice Texas TCU
