    Again, I might take that. I'm sure Hendry will first see how much more it would take to land Dunn. That doesn't seem like an outrageous asking price compared to what they were reportedly asking for before. Agreed. Hendry will probably ask to see what Dunn will cost. Kearns is probably option C or D.

    ESPN News had a 1 hour special from the Winter meetings. They just ended a couple of minutes ago. Gammons reported it there.

    Yeah... It's more depressing to have our minds toyed with like this. I know Cub fans can relate (again, with Furcal reportedly signing), but this happened last year with Reneteria, too. thestlcardinals.com guaranteed he would re-sign. I really had a good feeling about Burnett. And trading Burnett meant we could move Marquis for a much-needed outfielder. Our offseason was contingent on signing him, and now we have to resort to Plan B; we supposedly offered Jacque Jones a deal, too. Christ. :roll: Don't forget, Brett Boone might be coming to the Cards as well (see Rivalrys). :twisted:

    They just said Burnett to Blue Jays is basically done. 5 years and $55 million.

    It's going to cost the Dodgers more than just Bradley. They're going to have to throw in a couple of their good prospects to get a deal done. Beane would laugh Jim Hendry off the phone if Hendry offered Patterson for Zito, especially since starting pitching is at a premium right now.

    Gammons didn't say that. He said Cubs need a 2b so Cedeno can play SS. I guess Walker doesn't count. :cry:

    Didn't think this deserved a new thread, but the latest update on ESPN 1000 said Hendry was interested in trades for Lugo, Pierre, Dunn, and Kearns. Didn't say anything else. I'd take 3 out of 4. :D

    Excellent. It's too bad they didn't ask for Hill and Guzman too. That would really shut the door on any "Pierre a Cub" talks. Hopefully Hendry moves on from Pierre now.

    Where does Hendry throw away all that money if he gets Wilkerson and Bradley? You know he has to spend it or people will riot. Kevin Millwood. I'm pretty sure last year the Cubs were among a list of teams mentioned that Kevin Millwood would never play for. Something about him not liking the uniforms. Sorry if its already been discussed, I stopped reading :?:

    ESPN 1000 mentioned something about Corey going to LA for Bradley last week. First they started off saying that Walker for Bradley was being discussed, but then they also mentioned that the Cubs were interested in a Corey for Bradley trade as well.     The more I think about it the more I like the idea of having Lugo as our everyday SS. Move Cedeno over to 2b and get someone like Wilkerson or Bradley for Cf. But I would definitely like to see Hendry trade for Lugo at this point, much more than trading for Pierre.

    Can she play CF? Nah, she plays the role of Anna Benson. Except she's allowed in the clubhouse all the time. Keep morale up for Murton and Cedeno as Neifi and Mabry start in place of them. Does she go into the stands as well? I would definitely sign up for season tickets if that were the case.
