  1. What's best for the Cubs is not signing Jacque freaking Jones to a 3-year contract Hendry, you moran!!!!!
  2. haha. I love seeing your responses when you get home and log onto NSBB. It's quite entertaining.
  3. How do teams like the A's get into the playoffs with around $50 million a year and we get stuck with a team like that for $95? What a joke.
  4. Let's take a look at the Yanks lineup now: Damon Jeter Sheffield Rodriguez Matsui Giambi Posada Cano 1b?
  5. "We caught the ball really well this year. Unfortunately, we couldn't hit it for crap."
  6. Another ridiculous contract the Yankees will be regretting in a couple of years. Although, I guess it doesn't really matter when you have a $200 million payroll.
  7. you're an idiot. I thought you were calling someone on NSBB an idiot. Then I realized you were talking about Hendry. Very well said. :D
  8. I think we'll see a Clement or Arroyo for the Mariners' Reed going down very soon.
  9. Will you please leave. I don't think he's trying to rub it in our face. It's more like he's trying to console us. It doesn't bother me. He's one of the good Card fans.
  10. Let's see...Jones at $5 million a year or Choi at $750K. That's the difference.
  11. Looks like it's true. Newsday
  12. That depends. Are you injury-plagued? :D
  13. Seriously, you have to be laughing your butt off right now. You must be loving every minute of this. I know I would if the Cards signed Jones.
  14. That's because it sucks. As an aside, does anyone think this makes Pie or even Murton more available trade pieces for a big bat??? I'm looking for a silver lining. I could see Murton being used to get a big bat. He doesn't seem to be the type of guy that this organization covets. Pie isn't going anywhere. He's a Hendry wet dream.
  15. If the Cubs go into the season without adding another big bat or another solid starting pitcher then I don't think any of us have to worry.
  16. Bah. Looks like Branyan reupped with the Brewers too. I would have liked to see him on the bench. Rotoworld:
  17. I'll take that bet. Klesko isn't going anywhere and he makes too much money to sit on the bench. He's too horrible to put in the outfield, so Klesko WILL be at 1b. Gonzalez might get some starts against LHP and he may take over at 1b in 2007 permanently, but Klesko will be at 1b. Some team recently asked about Dave Roberts. Towers rejected the deal, saying that he's committed to Roberts because he's the only legitimate lead off guy they have. Someone else is likely to go to Boston for Wells, but I doubt it's Roberts. It would be a bit ironic if they were to switch places, however. Boston is high on Gonzalez. Wells for Gonzalez would make sense.
  18. Why bother? A bottle of Liquid Drano is a lot cheaper. It's an OLD ENGLISH night if you ask me. EDWARD 40HANDS! I'm on my third bottle of Dos Equis. I'm not gonna quit until I've forgotten about this signing. :D Some Bailey's mixed with a little bit of vanilla ice is calming my nerves. Eh. Im using OE and "Informer" by Snow.
  19. And your plan to get tejada is... Trade everyone. Heck, trade Murton and whomever and try to land Tejada and Abreu. Might as well. They're all gonna be blocked by these stupid Hendry signings anyway.
  20. Why bother? A bottle of Liquid Drano is a lot cheaper. It's an OLD ENGLISH night if you ask me. EDWARD 40HANDS! I'm on my third bottle of Dos Equis. I'm not gonna quit until I've forgotten about this signing. :D
  21. Seems kind of stupid to me. He probably could have gotten something better because the Dodgers weren't going to offer him arbitration. Now's he going to get 750K to sit on the bench all year.
  22. A broken link. That pretty much sums up how I'm feeling too.
  23. Fans from every other team are laughing at us right now. I think I even hear Marlins' fans laughing at us and their entire team was just uprooted.
  24. I thought the Twins offered him arbitration and Jones declined it. Wouldn't that cost the Cubs a draft pick anyways?
